Was the final IB of 2015 a win or fail
In your own opinion was the final Iron Banner of the year 2015 worth the time? Aside from practically every body using one weapon, hacks, and lag what were the most ridiculous or entertaining moments while playing?

2 RepliesGot 2 300 class items and 2 285 auto rifles across like 75 matches, won like 70% of the games and was on top 3 in most of the games (win or lose). Loot system is BROKEN!

I was able to reach rank 5 with my titan and my warlock, got my first ever 320 item (iron shell) and a 318 brettomarts. So I'm pretty happy with it this time around.

I didn't even get to play a game of iron banner because I'm a new play to destiny since I didn't have 230 light or any lvl 40 friends I could have joined so it was a fail.

If you ask me it was an epic fail. I don't mind that everyone's using the same weapons. That's just how we as humans work. Pick any PvP multiplayer be it FPS or RPG there will always be Flavour of the Month weapons. Loot was horrible from what I've read, I wouldn't know I didn't stick around long enough. Lag as hideous. Watched a Briar Rabbit video talking about it and it his reasoning for lag is kind of poetic justice. When a bunch of randoms are queueing they're matchmade based on skill and connection, the best connection between everyone gets host. If a fireteam queues then connections have a higher chance to be fubard because players in that fireteam may be outside of a reasonable connection distance. Basically the focus on finding your own team and having friends is the reason for lag and zoo errors in Destiny. My biggest problem with IB was as a 295-298 light level player I could not compete. Everyone who was 310+ had a free frag when squaring with me. The ONLY event I can do to get higher level gear and I can't even rank up to the reward pool because my light level makes me free.

One weapon? You high? I saw a shit ton of auto rifles the entire time.

It was pretty average. I got a 318 ghost, which was cool, but I wasn't overly excited about what it was offering this time around.

Good for me, I had 6 pieces of armor drop above 300 and a few of them were above 315, the auto rifle at 294, the machine gun at like 312, and a 319 ghost shell. I enjoyed it plus the warlock helm makes me look like Darth reven.

It's was good for me....I don't raid so that's how I got my light level up to 312....played one kf raid just to get the tom....

1 ReplyLol, this -blam!-.ers will never be happy. The drops where shit that's true. But the actual gameplay was fun and pretty damn balanced. I was able to wreck with my HC4 and chaperone. After a while a switched to ARs and a sidearm with the same results. The MiDA and snipers didnt bother me at all. Best experience in IB I had since year one.

1 ReplyI'd say somewhere in the middle. I'm happy it was back to control as I am not a fan of regular tdm. Just a personal preference. They needed more maps in the rotation to mix things up. Would even be nice if they brought back the vehicle maps. Again playing the same 4 or 5 maps gets old. Weapon balancing still not quite there. But frankly I just don't want anymore needs to happen. Overall IB was it's standard self. Definitely more fun when with a team though. Still see too many blueberries not understanding which flags to cap.

Played my last fifteen matches of ib... I knew that by now a week's worth of playing wasn't going to bring me what I wanted anytime sooner but I humored Saladin a few more times. Ghosts. Engram. Ghosts. Ghosts. Ghosts. Literally so many ghosts that for fun. I leveled up the remainder of my purple ghosts all above 310. This was of course after playing hardmodes and challenge modes to get my already owned 320 ghost. And not once did the Camelot helmet even drop! And that's not even an exaggeration! Lmao yeah idk guys... Playing a match where I get a 3.0+ kd and my buddy gets his first 2.1 in ten matches is fine. Watching his second place ass get a Camelot mark while I got my third 317 ghost is not fine. Next iron banner? Do away with ghosts. Please. I'm 100% sure everyone who played this one has a ghost. No more. Please bungie. You're literally killing me.

2 RepliesIt's 50/50 for me Post game rewards are a failure rank 5 packages are good. IB post game rewards should be rank 1-3 280-300 rank 4 300-310 rank 5 310+ Anything lord Saladin sells should be 300 Packages 320 guaranteed

1 ReplyThe only issue I have with Iron Banner is that it's only here for a week. They should double or triple it to match Sparrow Racing and throw in more rewards and more varieties of rewards - maybe even an IB sparrow...

Nope control is a shit game type, simply because people play it as TDM. So why not just keep it as clash , and the lag is just bs and has been and if they don't get rid of peer to peer the crucible can get fücked rather play cod or halo rather than a game that lags more than any other game and it's 2016 lol , DEDICATED SERVERS! Or at least something better than peer to peer so that when the connects just dropped dramatically the person responsible gets kicked from the game , the amount of lag switchers in trials is a joke and even in the crucible and ib is just shows how bad this game is and how this game does jack shit to prevent any of it

I enjoyed IB for the most part. Don't know if it was when I got stuck being host but some matches my guardians got killed almost instantly while I had to shoot multiple times even with a sniper. Overall my drops were great and it seemed worth the time spent. For now...until it all goes away like my year one IB collection.

2 RepliesThe servers suck, I can play other games online just a-okay. The fact that you can be ontop of the list on a overall score and not get single thing, not even a mote of light for the sake of getting something is irritating. The fact that I went thru multiple matches where everyone was receiving rewards and I was getting absolutely nothing! Everyone literally got some legendary and I was the only sucker that didn't get anything. I must have some real crappy luck with this RNG system. The only purples I got were from getting rank five and they were not worth the trouble...the grind in iron banner is no longer fun. Feels like a chore now, Idc about people using shotguns and snipers etc. but the RNG system is so shitty and frustrating. Grind for hours only to receive 280 and below gear, or just get -blam!-ing motes of light..

The [i]new meta[/i] of Mida and TLW didn't seem to take over too many matches... at least not the ones I was in. A nice mix of Legendary and Exotic primaries. The RnG was ABYSMAL!!! Iron Banner [i]used[/i] to be an alternate route to end game levels... not so much anymore. You had a better chance of getting 320 gear during the Sparrow Racing League. Not to mention the craptastic drop rate of weapons... Crucible RnG (during Iron Banner) is non-existent and IB RnG is far-few-and-in-between.

2 RepliesIn my opinion I feel that Bungie is playing the ropes like usual, they sell possibly the best weapon right before Iron Banner, coincidence? This is probably the most rage inducing Iron Banner I have ever taken part of. But it has its moments much like the game itself mainly because of all of the crap it puts us through no matter how many times we quit we always come back for more.

Epic fail the lag was insane. I got good rewards. But the amount of lag and red bars were nuts. I'm done until thay fix their servers.

It's frustrating enough that it's laggy as hell, but I keep getting paired up with people who already hit rank 5. Not a bad deal, right? [b]Wrong![/b] No one is trying to capture zones. Only sniping and waiting for endgame rewards. I can get a win streak going to save my life. It's frustrating enough as it is, but the community [i]sucks[/i] when it comes to Iron Banner.
