Out of the 5 Bungie games it was by far the worst one imo.
My two biggest issues with that game are the split story (annoying as -blam!-, also terrible) and the health system (really -blam!-ing terrible). Not to mention they nerfed or removed the good weapons and added subpar replacements.
It's a game that I played once because I had no patience for its bullshit.
Maybe I'm just too caught up in Halo CE nostalgia.

I kind of find it funny that the 2 things you hate the most are both things that people really loved about the game. Even in the midst of all of the complaining and ridicule the game received when it first came out, both of those points were generally received quite positively.

Edited by Tosevite 187: 1/4/2016 2:00:23 AMHealth system complaints? Playing as elites was awesome at the time imo even in multiplayer. Campaign was pretty challenging on legendary and skulls were fun. Multiplayer was pretty competitive and had a huge skill gap with all the glitches

Opinions dude. In my opinion, it's the rawest FPS. No power ups or any of that tosh. Hardcore game types were / are the best. BXR, BXB, double shotting was awesome fun xD
-
Also Halo 2 brought in the missions The Arbiter and The Oracle. These missions gave use the POV for the top covenant commander. This was one long mission but was cut down because it's length. Don't forget about the REX sword and SCARAB gun.

"I....I am the m-monument.. To all your sinsssssssss..." Halo 2 Gravemind
-
I loved the campaign and halo 2 has one of the best soundtracks of all time. I can't say anything about the multiplayer since I've never played it.
-
It was the game that launched the Xbox live experience. The multiplayer is one of the best multiplayer games around.
-
Cause it was the first shooter they took seriously, the same reason so many people are obsessed with 3 and modern warfare 2
-
Nostalgia.
-
Because it is the best mp ever created
-
Sword lunging
-
Halo 4 was obviously the worst.
-
Campaign was good. Multiplayer was bad.
-
Because it was the best.
-
No m8 halo 4 was the worst.
-
I do love the simplicity of CE.
-
Metropolis.
-
The campaign is amazing
-
I loved the Campaign, but I don't believe the multiplayer is very good at all. It's good, but not great.
-
Now I am by no means bashing Halo 2. In fact I enjoyed it a lot myself and was glad when they said they were giving it a fresh coat of paint for the MCC. But its mostly a case of nostalgia vision. Heck I'm guilty of it myself when I played samurai warriors 2 and then decided to pick up wariors orichi 3 (pretty much samurai warriors) a year ago and thought "but it was so awesome".
-
The campaign was great, and multiplayer was so much fun! Plus it was on PC.
-
Nostalgia From everything I heard the game was unbalanced...maybe even broken. Guessing all the love for it stems from it was online unlike Halo 1...not counting those bootleg ways.
-
Most people played because the multiplayer was so raw and balanced that it was grand. The story splitter which some people Liked But the ending made the story a 8/10 because of cheap it was and how it ended in a cliff hanger. Which pusses off a lot of the people at the time.
-
I guess because most of the player bass started on it after they heard of the success of CE and the anticipation for it
-
So many missions. Dual wielding. Energy Sword, fuel rod gun too I think Boarding. But personally, 3 is my slice of cake. The things people did with forge...and such a primitive version by Reach/4 standards..is amazing.

Edited by Luck: 1/2/2016 9:16:24 AMMultiplayer kicks ass. I almost forgot Halo had a story for quite a long time.
