When i first started destiny i didn't give two shits about shaders and looks, but as I approached end game, I realized in order to pick up ladies, I had to up my game. On my first vault run on my hunter, I got shattered vault cloak. In my opinion, it looked like shit. But whenever any of my friends used it, it looked -blam!-ing amazing. I then realized why. The million million shader. I was determined to get that shader. At the time I was only about light level 28 or 29, so I was trash in IB. I was also really bad at crucible. So getting 4 kills was a rare occasion. But after a full week of IB, I was working my way up. Million million at the time was a rank 2 (or 3) shader. It took me the whole week to get there. But after all that work, I had gotten it. I had achieved my goal. I was bound to look like a -blam!-ing badass. still no ladies tho. [spoiler]Yet[/spoiler] [spoiler]P.S. You look cute today[/spoiler]
