"Of course Anumi." He says with a smile, standing up.

She moves her fingers over it, feeling it's intricacies. Lance catches something from the corner of his eye. It's two yellow eyes watching him from the corner. Damien is awake. He hasn't said anything, he only stares in silence. He closes his eyes once more and almost disappears in the shadows. "You really are something else, Lance..."
-
"What do you mean Anumi?" He asks with a warm smile.
-
"Your just... So kind. I can't explain it but... You certainly are different."
-
"Only to a certain few." He says cryptically.
-
"I see..." She returns to the center, sitting back down into the cool water. Damien has left the room somehow, only to return with a bottle of wine.
-
Lance stands up. "I'll leave you two to be then."
-
Damien waves him off. "She doesn't drink... Not much." He leans again into his corner and begins to chug the bottle. "Well, you can still leave if you like. But it was nice having you around once more."
-
Lance raises his eyebrows at the statement, but brushes it off. "One second." He vanishes from the room and returns with a glass of an orange liquid. "How's your time back been Damien?"
-
"A bore..." Anumi seems hurt by the prospect but doesn't say anything. "This ship is dull. And there aren't enough books. And this room... It's credible... Just not real."
-
Lance smiles at the mention of books. "I know a wonderful place for books if you need something to read."
-
"I've read almost every book. Excluding the self-preserved worded ones. I just need something to read." "Magazines." "I would like to think myself above those damn gossip pamphlets."
-
"I promise you haven't read the books I own." A mischievous twinkle appears in his eye.
-
"Self preserved. I like tales. I brought The Great Gatsby with me... But I've read four billion eight hundred twenty nine thousand times. Give or take a round up."
-
Lance vanishes from the room and returns with 3 books, novels around 500 pages a piece. One is a plain black cover, the second a plain red cover, and the third a plain green cover. The author at the bottom reads William Velrose. Strange..Damien has never heard of the author. "A trilogy."
FYI, made the name up, along with what the books are about. I just needed three books to showcase one of Lance's abilities lmao.
-
"Hmph." Damien eyes the books with suspicion.
-
Lance chuckles. "What, don't recognize the author?"
-
"I don't mind new books. In fact, I enjoy finding something fresh. But these look like fantasy novels. Trilogies mean long exposition."

Edited by Will: 1/1/2016 9:59:01 PM"They're not fantasy. It's a tale of a swordsman."
-
"Yourself, Mayhaps? Demotivatal."
-
He chuckles. "No, not myself. Although, you don't think I'm that interesting Damien? And here I though I was charming."
-
"Charm is deceitful. But impliable. What are the books...?"
-
"It's a story about a great swordsman who's yet to be born." Lance keeps a straight face, but waits for Damien to realize what he just said.
-
Damien doesn't seem to offer up any emotion. Instead, he closes his eyes once more. "Time is of but the coldest of truths. I don't suppose you wish to explain..."
-
"Depends, what do you want me to explain?"
-
"The damn story. I'm curious." He finishes his bottle and tosses it at the door. It crashes in the hall followed by the Yelp of a guard.
