I was checking out evolve on the GameStop website and it says I could pick it up for $10. I've heard mixed reviews, but I'd like to know what you guys think

For 10 bucks you should check it out if you're interested. I would only be concerned about player population and being able to try all modes.
-
Absolutely, if you're into hunting, and don't mind grinding for ~3-4 hours to max out all the classes. Getting the monsters will take another 2-3. Aside from that it's a fantastic Hunting game. Find a squad you like and go to town, I usually run Lazarus, Bucket, the Rocket Launcher guy, and the tracker who has Daisy. Fighting the level 3 monsters is a riot, but it loses its shine after a week or 2, if you have friends the replay value increases dramatically.

That depends, $10 for the vanilla game probably not... The whole game revolves around using different tiers of hunters and monsters with each tier being better than the last. It is possible to win with lower tiers, but the higher ones have a clear advantage. The vanilla game comes with the lowest 3 of 5 ( and you still got a hell of a grind to unlock tier 3). It's kind of pay to win, as you can just buy tiers 4 and 5, but these will likely cost more than the actual game. Also, I played when everyone was lower tier so it wasn't so bad, I imagine trying to grind it out now when everyone still playing has tier 4 and 5 monster or hunters would be...annoying

Unless their giving you the ten dollars... No.

No. It wastes precious space on your hard drive.
-
Yeah, it's worth about a movie ticket.
-
Hell no not even worth it free
-
Its really repetitive theres no variety
-
It's a good game.. Just not that fun to play alone.
-
If you have four other friends that think it's worth it or already own it, probably. Just going by the alpha/beta it seems like it'd be shit without an actual team.
-
Yes $10 is a fair amount for it
-
I really like evolve. Still play it and don't have much trouble getting a match

I received Evolve as a gift and traded it in a week later. The game modes get repetitive fast and 1 bad teammate will bring your whole team down. Plus the game pushes DLC and micro-transactions way too hard. I'd use the 10$ elsewhere.
-
Eh, probably not. I'd be surprised if people still played it.

Use the $10 for chipotle

Thats 10 dollars worth of tacos you have there son.

Never played it. The concern is not whether the content is worth playing but whether the online support will remain if there is not anyone playing it.

Don't rely on these fish heads to tell you what to do with your money! Do what you want, and find out for yourself! If you have any doubt, ask someone you know who has it to let you borrow it. If you like it, get your own copy and get down with them! Personally, I liked it. The gameplay was interesting, and it took some time getting used to. You can play it locally with bots, if you can't find an online game. ;-) Remember, YOU Decide!

Is a punch in the face worth $10?

Is Jar Jar worth 10 dollars?

Good luck finding a match
