What do you look for in a YouTube channel? I have started my channel up again and want to make content around Destiny and Let's Plays. What are some of the things people look for when they first find a channel?

Edited by littlepuppetboy: 1/1/2016 6:13:49 PMStep 1: Play Indie games. Step 2: Shout at everything. Step 3: Have an annoying intro catchphrase. Step 4: Disable YouTube Comments, but enable them again in a month. Step 5: Sell merchandise to your 12 year old fans. Step 6: Find a girlfriend that will kiss your ass because they want your money. Step 7: Do annoying vlogs, because everybody cares about your life. (Not really) Step 8: Make sex references in your gameplay videos, because everyone finds that funny. Step 9: Have even more shitty catchphrases, or running jokes. Pro Tips: -If you can, develop a foreign accent, all the fan girls will think it's cute and want your babies. -Do pointless trending things, like the ice bucket challenge, but forget the entire point of doing it in the first place. -Reaction videos are necessary. When making a reaction video, you must add no commentary whatsoever and just laugh a couple of times. Follow all these steps and you will gain profit.

I look for legitimate stuff and funny stuff. Like do some troll videos then do some legit ones to.

Something that would make me laugh. If I ever actually laugh when I'm on the Internet, it's rare as hell. Usually it's just a big exhale out of my nose like a bull when I see something kind of funny. If I actually make noise and laugh, I'm sure to stick with that channel.

I mostly look for animation in channels because that is my intresst atm.
-
I like people who are original, play games I like, and try not to be too funny to the point where they sound ridiculous. I like people who mean to have older audiences and don't say "dick n' vagina" every two seconds.

Less popular game gives a higher chance for you to be noticed. But if you are serious their are a few types of people. You can be solo, play with friends. Humorous or try hard. You have to be yourself its obvious if you aren't.

1. No Destiny
-
I have about 40 subs and I mostly post walkthroughs or help videos along with funny things I experience
-
Videos
-
Humor, no sellout
-
Dont be like others with the dumb intros and the " heey wuts up giyes its me generic gaming youtuber number 420"
-
Interesting gaming channels that are different in some way or people who are funny in general

I don't watch video game channels. I watch educational channels like smartereveryday, vet ranch, applied sciences. And gun channels like demotion ranch. They must have good editing, good personalities and usually a good purpose.

Being unique from other YouTubers is a good thing, whether it's how you edit videos or a personality trait, being unique from the others is always a good start.
