I'll give ya a good number of things you can do.
1. Basically shoot it. If you see a warlock rushing you, you should realize that they're about to either shotgun or super and it will most likely be a super. Shoot them as they charge. If you get them to pop their super early you've gained an upper hand. They may get their health back if they have transcendence on, but if they popped early then you can still deal more damage. Just unload into the warlock.
2. Dealing with team mates. If you hear a stormcaller don't stand next to your team mates, it'll make it easier for a stormcaller to wipe you both. Grab a little distance but not too much. If you both follow point 1 you'll be able to destroy that warlock.
3. How to solo a stormcaller. Stormcallers have a vital weakness that you wouldn't expect. It's harder for us to deal with close enemies. Never stand still and never run from a stormcaller. Doing either guarantees your death. Move close to the stormcaller and try to stay above it or behind it. We can't aim directly up and it takes time to turn. Our super doesn't lock well enough to keep hurting a mobile enemy without wasting energy.
4. If you can't kill it, waste it. Staying mobile and distracting a stormcaller will help to waste it's super. A good stormcaller knows that they need to kill you or they'll end up dead instead. Do what you can't to keep a stormcaller occupied if you can't shoot it.
5. Remember that stormtrance is a super. Supers aren't meant to be easily countered by a non-super. Don't admit defeat to a stormcaller and let it kill you. Deal as much damage as you can to it and you'll help your team greatly. Any damage dealt to a stormcaller means less damage your team has to deal to kill it.
Stop treating stormcallers like overpowered gods because we aren't. We are incredibly easy to kill and people need to remember that supers are meant to be easy kills for the user, not for the victim. Keep a calm mind and face the stormcaller and deal any damage. You'll see that stormcallers are weaker than they seem.
Added Edit:
1. Stormcaller is essentially a blink hunter with an LMG. Easy comparison for you.
2. Rather than call for a nerf, why not call for reasonable buffs for your classes?
3. When us stormcallers get nerfed (because there is no stopping it, the babies will cry and ruin it for PvE players) we will be coming for hunters next. Shadow shot will be next on the list.
4. Holy christ we hadn't even finished the year and people already are demanding the new subclasses be nerfed.

Wow! All of you're examples sound like what you do with Sunbreakers! They still got nerfed and are still hated. >.>
-
I'm still feel bad for my hammer Bros :/
-
Yeah...well I appreciate it. Still alittle upset with the community. After all the times Defenders had peoples backs and we just wanted a reliable destructive super for PvE and PvP. Me personally, I loved it for PvE. *sigh*
-
Pretty nerf hammers were a blessing for PvE. They could hold a boss while the other 2 would resupply on a strike
-
Good reply

Storm trance needs a nerf and you know it. Electro static mind does damage to anyone near the warlock whilst the super can actually do damage around corners and behind walls. Ionic blink keeps you mobile and extremely hard to hit. Of course using blink takes more super energy but I use transcendence which keeps it up for a long time. Right know I'd say stormtrance list the best roaming super for pvp and stormcallers even have a decent neutral game with thunderstrike.
-
What are you talking about! Titans are the real enemy and have the most OP supers!!!!!! #sarcasm
-
That's because you retards nerfed everything else to the ground. -_-. Also it's not op. Seriously do want fist of havoc or golden gun to not one shot you? Because you'd lose a fight to that. Let's nerf those.
-
I don't work for bungie, I haven't nerfed anything.....FoH and golden should one shot other supers. I don't really understand your viewpoint from your statement. I use all 3 classes and storm trance is without a doubt the easiest to achieve the most amount of kills with.
-
Edited by Specialist Feature: 1/3/2016 9:11:36 AMYou may not have done it, but the majority of people screaming nerf instigated them to nerf it a TON
-
Bungie has statistics that show which supers or subclasses are performing above or below the average. For example when they nerfed hammer of sol they show charts on how the k/d of sunbreakers was a lot higher than defender and striker titans. I'm pretty sure most of the buffs and nerf that bungie has done are based on those statistics, not just a bunch of pubescent teens screaming on the forums.
-
Well judging by the bunches of comments saying it's easy to kill one I doubt it will be that bad.
-
It's not any easier than killing other supers say sunsinger, golden gun, blade dancer or sunbreaker etc. However storm trance has huge kill potential kind of the same reasons why HoS got nerfed. I find myself getting no less than 3 kills per super with the possibility of 5 to 7 total. No other super in the game has that.
-
Um, bladedancer? HoS? A really good sunsinger?
-
Hammer of Sol? Bruh, I can throw a hammer right next to someone and they can live. Thanks community and fake Titans. >.>
-
I haven't seen anyone get that many kills with HoS or bladedancer since their nerfs.
-
I see all the time
-
Right!
-
All of those are true. However if you compared it to other supers. It does last a tad too long and the range needs to be just barely reduced
-
Not at all. The duration is a perk reward that you have to earn. They shouldn't Nerf it but make the other perks worth choosing. The range isn't bad either. Complaining about the range on stormcaller is like me complaining on the range of shadowshot or golden gun. Don't Nerf range but rather the damage dealt at certain ranges.
-
I'm not saying nerf it entirely I'm saying to shorten that perk so that people can't wander across the whole map and back killing the whole time. My friend because of this perk was able to, on Rusted lands, wipe the whole team at A. Then wander over to C where they spawned and wipe the whole team again and still last long enough to kill two more people. That is too long
-
To get that extra roam time on stormtrance the warlock is sacrificing the potential kills they can get with grenades and melee. It isn't just a case of pick the perk and gain more time. There are downsides to having the transcendence perk selected.
-
That's the same reason I always hear and the only thing I ask of that is; did no one try to kill the stormcaller? You truly would have had to not have been trying if a stormcaller doubled wiped you. And it's no surprise that a stormcaller can wipe an entire team in one go. People panic and group up which gives a stormcaller the advantage. If a stormcaller was able to double wipe a team, you're a bad team. Stormcallers are easy to shut down.
-
Or another way to solve it is defender titans
-
Not always and trust me, I know my Defenders. Plus why would anyone be a Defender since they over buffed Striker. >.>
