Yes I'm crying. Yes I'm complaining. No this isn't b8. And yeah I just happen to be a hunter. However I am also looking for an answer to a question. How do I kill a stormcaller with no super?
"Shoot him, huntard!": Well I tried that. He shocked me and killed me.
"No, dumbass. You gotta shoot him in the head with a sniper": Hmm. Tried that too. He teleported through it and killed me again.
"Are you retarded? You got to shoot him while he activates it." Good idea! Oh wait. Unlike any other super he attacks everyone near him with landfall which has a hidden perk of blinding nearby foes.
"Get those huntard loving teammates of yours to shoot him together." Well that didn't work either cause one guy got hit and it chained to everyone and killed us. Then he did it again since he still had time.
"Just run away, stupid." Well I tried to but he is faster than me and the super lasts for about 20 seconds.
So did I leave any viable options out? And since its temporary, heavy doesn't count. That lightning sound it sending me away like sunbreaker did

Trip mine grenade. Stick it the -blam!-ers head. He'll wish he didn't use it. ;P
-
Let's not complain and play the god dam game. Filthy casual.

Are people seriously complaining about storm caller?
-
Once again, ur a scrub.
-
Use a Sidearm. Works everytime.
-
Hm, how about you panic bow him to death with your quiver. I'm sure the insane damage resistance you get while doing that will help.
-
You know about the sprint button right? No way a storm caller is faster than you, huntard.
-
Stormcaller is perfect. Stfu.
-
suppressor grenades? oh wait youre a huntard lmao
-
I feel u, stormcallers are tricky. They have the fastest gained and one of the longest supers, some of the strongest moves, and to top it all off, just starting their super can kill u, blind u, or even break a bubble (which it takes to golden gun shots to do). And they said sunbreakers were bad. yeesh
-
Let the warlocks have their fun damn it.
-
Just don't affect PvE and I'm fine with a nerf. What I hate is most or, dare I say, all Nerfs affect PvE. Making the stuffs being nerfed useless in PvE.
-
You can counter is easily by teamshooting

Edited by shobr0: 1/3/2016 11:40:14 AMI'll give ya a good number of things you can do. 1. Basically shoot it. If you see a warlock rushing you, you should realize that they're about to either shotgun or super and it will most likely be a super. Shoot them as they charge. If you get them to pop their super early you've gained an upper hand. They may get their health back if they have transcendence on, but if they popped early then you can still deal more damage. Just unload into the warlock. 2. Dealing with team mates. If you hear a stormcaller don't stand next to your team mates, it'll make it easier for a stormcaller to wipe you both. Grab a little distance but not too much. If you both follow point 1 you'll be able to destroy that warlock. 3. How to solo a stormcaller. Stormcallers have a vital weakness that you wouldn't expect. It's harder for us to deal with close enemies. Never stand still and never run from a stormcaller. Doing either guarantees your death. Move close to the stormcaller and try to stay above it or behind it. We can't aim directly up and it takes time to turn. Our super doesn't lock well enough to keep hurting a mobile enemy without wasting energy. 4. If you can't kill it, waste it. Staying mobile and distracting a stormcaller will help to waste it's super. A good stormcaller knows that they need to kill you or they'll end up dead instead. Do what you can't to keep a stormcaller occupied if you can't shoot it. 5. Remember that stormtrance is a super. Supers aren't meant to be easily countered by a non-super. Don't admit defeat to a stormcaller and let it kill you. Deal as much damage as you can to it and you'll help your team greatly. Any damage dealt to a stormcaller means less damage your team has to deal to kill it. Stop treating stormcallers like overpowered gods because we aren't. We are incredibly easy to kill and people need to remember that supers are meant to be easy kills for the user, not for the victim. Keep a calm mind and face the stormcaller and deal any damage. You'll see that stormcallers are weaker than they seem. Added Edit: 1. Stormcaller is essentially a blink hunter with an LMG. Easy comparison for you. 2. Rather than call for a nerf, why not call for reasonable buffs for your classes? 3. When us stormcallers get nerfed (because there is no stopping it, the babies will cry and ruin it for PvE players) we will be coming for hunters next. Shadow shot will be next on the list. 4. Holy christ we hadn't even finished the year and people already are demanding the new subclasses be nerfed.

Edited by PirateZack: 1/3/2016 10:49:33 AMI think they should just need the whole damn game anyway. They can't ever get shit right. They just need something to oblivion and then wait 6 months to unfuck it. Thanks for making sun breakers completely worthless.

In IB I play the other classes a bit more now, which is quite interesting. I normally use voidwalker, but tried stormcrawler as I got killed by it so many times. I was amazed how long it lasts and I killed at least three sometimes five, six guardians with one super!! I have never, ever done that with any other class before...
-
honestly i think the best way to balance is to make it easier to see when you're being shocked i can't even see the guy as im getting chain zapped from my teammate. lol
-
I hate to be that guy but honestly, you're best bet is too sit around a corner and two piece him
-
It's OK if you don't kill the warlock, it's just one death. Also heavy ammo works wonders :)
-
Don't recall anyone complaining about this before the sunbreaker nerf....yeah these warlocks can -blam!- shit up but they don't have much damage resistance. It's easy to wreck them.
-
Storm Trance lasts too long and the blink has too much range. No other super in the game can kill an entire enemy team and still be running in time for respawn for how easy it is. Cant wait for the warlock class update to balance this garbage.
-
Same way I deal with any up close super Or any super that I'm close to. 4th horseman.
-
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha Oh wait you're serious?
-
Shut up beezy

As a Warlock, I have to say we aren't the gods we seem. I was taken down by two people. One body shot me and the other killed me with a sidearm. A SIDEARM. Let that sink in. We are not gods. In fact we are still very squishy because of no health regen. If we had that I would agree. "Yeah... We're OP" but without it? Nah. Plus, we are not faster than you. We need Ionic blink for that and that gulps our super like a fat guy shoveling Twinkies. Plus, we can't actually aim directly above, below, or behind us. And when we are in super it's like we have a 1 sensitivity on our controllers. So slow. I am a good PvPer (I think so) and I have to be careful. I can get Shrekt in a heartbeat
