Lets talk about Stormtrance
Yes I'm crying. Yes I'm complaining. No this isn't b8. And yeah I just happen to be a hunter. However I am also looking for an answer to a question. How do I kill a stormcaller with no super?
"Shoot him, huntard!": Well I tried that. He shocked me and killed me.
"No, dumbass. You gotta shoot him in the head with a sniper": Hmm. Tried that too. He teleported through it and killed me again.
"Are you retarded? You got to shoot him while he activates it." Good idea! Oh wait. Unlike any other super he attacks everyone near him with landfall which has a hidden perk of blinding nearby foes.
"Get those huntard loving teammates of yours to shoot him together." Well that didn't work either cause one guy got hit and it chained to everyone and killed us. Then he did it again since he still had time.
"Just run away, stupid." Well I tried to but he is faster than me and the super lasts for about 20 seconds.
So did I leave any viable options out? And since its temporary, heavy doesn't count. That lightning sound it sending me away like sunbreaker did

I run storm caller. I have to say that I really have to time the super. Can't just pop it and go it's way to easy to shut down. On average I get 2 maybe 3 kills. Try using supercell. Or blink strike. Those seem to be what shuts me down most other then supers.

7 RepliesHow do you kill someone mid-nova bomb? How do you kill a Sunbreaker while he's throwing a hammer at you? How do you kill a golden gunner when he's aiming at you? Sometimes you have to accept defeat or run away. Supers aren't made to be killed. If you can kill someone with a super, gg. If not, better luck next time.

Um why should you be able to? The only real counter is to snipe, and it should be the only option, hitting a headshot up close takes some skill and beating a super without a super of your own should take skill. There's so many posts about how OP a super is and that's what supers are, OP

The best (maybe only) way that I've personally found is see the storm caller from a long ways off and just snipe them. Anything close to close mid range you're pretty much dead. Tips on running, break line of sight and stay away from ur teammates and hope for the best. For the record I think storm callers are fine the way they are.

Storm trance is no different than other supers. If you see them coming from a distance you can try killing him before he reached you or run. If they activated the super close to you, there's a small window were you might be able to kill them quick. But unlikely. Storm trance is a little different because it doesn't kill you instantly like Nova Bomb or Fist of Havoc. So you do have a "slightly" better chance than you do versus other supers.

He must be a game god to overcome absolutely everything that anyone could ever do to stop him. I personally hope someone else gets his attention, he can only hit people in front of him. Literally if you jump and he doesn't follow nothing will happen to you (Unless someone chains it to you). I carry a scout rifle and get some distance and open fire on his head. He will recharge so you stand and fire. Then throw a grenade in front of you and pull out your shotty. He should be soft by then and the grenade will get him. If not you get each other and he wasted a super, you win. Takes timing and there range can be adjusted but works pretty good for me. Most good parties will all get distance for chaining reasons and turn and fire anyway. Much easier and faster.

I killed 2 in one life with a sword. I have a video of it on youtube but the video wasn't long enough to capture the second kill. Alternatively yes you can snipe but it's not easy. My way of doing it is using golden gun. I save my super to counter supers on the enemy team or to prevent them from getting heavy ammo or a capture point. Shotguns are also a viable option if you can catch one off guard

8 RepliesI've been shut down numerous times during storm trance and as I pop my super, I've lost count how many times. Yes it can be devastating but it it very easy to shut down.

I used to use stormtrance all the time because it was new and I wanted to get used to it. I rarely ever got 3 kills with it, the armor is barely there and a team of 2 could shut you down easily. I switched back to voidwalker after that
