Lets talk about Stormtrance
Yes I'm crying. Yes I'm complaining. No this isn't b8. And yeah I just happen to be a hunter. However I am also looking for an answer to a question. How do I kill a stormcaller with no super?
"Shoot him, huntard!": Well I tried that. He shocked me and killed me.
"No, dumbass. You gotta shoot him in the head with a sniper": Hmm. Tried that too. He teleported through it and killed me again.
"Are you retarded? You got to shoot him while he activates it." Good idea! Oh wait. Unlike any other super he attacks everyone near him with landfall which has a hidden perk of blinding nearby foes.
"Get those huntard loving teammates of yours to shoot him together." Well that didn't work either cause one guy got hit and it chained to everyone and killed us. Then he did it again since he still had time.
"Just run away, stupid." Well I tried to but he is faster than me and the super lasts for about 20 seconds.
So did I leave any viable options out? And since its temporary, heavy doesn't count. That lightning sound it sending me away like sunbreaker did

While I don't think stormcaller needs a nerf, blade dancer makes me sad when I play on my hunter because the super deminishes a substantial amount every time I hit the bumper.

Edited by Aqua: 1/1/2016 11:28:23 AMHow am I supposed to beat golden gun? "Sniper you idiot" But golden gun instant kills on enemy sight at sniper range. "Team shooting" That's a death wish "Git Gud scrub" I can't, at least I can damage and potentially kill a Stormcaller with my primary.

Let's not forget that storm caller is the only super that doesn't kill instantaneously, 67 dmg per shock, kills like a machine gun, and is easily beat down by team shooting the warlock.

I would like it if supers didn't get nerfed anymore. I didn't even have a problem with Sunbreaker. No more nerfs please.

I've seen what horrible things bladedancer did with its super and a shotgun. Stormcaller is probably the most balanced super in Destiny that KILLS in the current meta. No nerf is needed on it. Warlocks are peaceful creatures. They are the Canada in this games constant struggle between US vs Brits back in de ol' days(Titans vs Hunters). Don't target everything that kills you in this game, as many times in IB or PvP in general you've dealt with worse

I'm about to start crying here in a moment. Dear God man, you're supposed to be a Hunter. A specialist in ranged tactics. Please tell me you're not seriously calling for a nerf on Stormcallers, right?

I love getting kills with Landfall. It's fun. However, a lot of the times I pop my super, a Titan happens to have a suppressor grenade handy, or a Hunter likes to Shadowshìt down my throat.

Yeah I think every kill should at least give it a slightly more significant drain on the super rather than the teeniest increment of one!

To answer your question a sniper head shot would kill them in one shot. A body shot rocket launcher and also kill them in one shot. Also shotgun melee the warlock will also kill them before they can kill you, but it will only work if you run away first and try to bait him to chase you. Then shotth melee will kill him once you're close enough to him. Also a golden gun can oneshot them, the heavy fusiom rifle can kill them in one go as well. Umm the high impact heavy machine guns can kill them in 5 shots to the head also. The hunters shadow shot will completely shut then down if you can bait them into he trap. Also smoke and vortex grenade can also kill them as long as you are using envenom. Umm 2 fusion rifle burst will kill them as well.. Theres pretty much alot of way to kill them as you can see. Just use your head and be creative.

Dude make a stormcaller trust me that class is dope. I finally kinda stopped playing my hunter as much as i used to check out the other class and Maaaan stormcaller is looking really good to me right now. Which i like more now. The warlock or the hunter.

4 RepliesIf your stormcaller foe can teleport at you, he's stupid. The range perk on it is much much more deadly. Have you tried running away? I personally feel that when i'm stormtrancing i cant move as well. Especially try going vertical. If there's anything to get up on its hard to follow.

Range. People don't seem to understand that there isn't an "invincible" strategy for this game, if a stormcaller activates near you, and you don't have multiple teammates ready to take him out, you will die, the only counter is to get lucky with a shotgun or to be far enough away from him to land enough shots to kill him before he reaches you. The same can be said for arc blade and hammer of SOL. THE POINT OF THE SUPER IS THAT YOU HAVE A SHORT OPPORTUNITY TO GET A LOT OF KILLS EASILY. There should not be an easy way to counter a super.
