A New Quest Is Available!
An Unlikely Ally
An urgent Distress Call has made its way to the Axion on an open bandwidth. The format is clearly out of date, and the message displays as months old, with a displayed margin of error of several years.
Alright, maggots, listen up. I've received instructions from an anonymous benefactor within your group to whip your OP asses down a couple notches and teach you what it means to be an oldie. So that's exactly what I'm gonna fucкing do. No more invincibility jack-of-all-trades bullshit. I will count every bullet, trick, and tool you use, and I will make you feel every consequence of your actions.
You want my treasure? I'm gonna make you sing for it, like a boy's choir with their nuts in a vice grip. And if a single one of you sings off key, I'm gonna make sure you never sing again.
Edited by SilverPulse620: 12/31/2015 1:11:10 PM
I thought that the part that said 'Registered: Joshua' ment it was only open to him. Sorry. I'll participate if that's ok.
Edited by Zone-tan: 12/31/2015 1:14:38 PM
The registered list will say closed if it's closed. It's more for me to keep track of who's trying to butt in last second for a loot grab and who's actually playing.

I've had some people pull some pretty bullshit loot grabs on me before.

I see. Is it okay if I participate?
Joshua picks up the signal, as he is currently stumped in his quest to find Callaech and decides to investigate.
-
The message is three letters of text, a .JPEG file, and a .EXE file. >SOS
-
He checks the picture.
-
It's a set of coordinates, displayed in a criminal-esque magazine clippings style. Said coordinates seem to lead to a hypothetical spot whose nearest mapped star cluster lies billions of light years away from it. Not accounting for repairs, cool downs, or rotating shifts, the Axion could probably make the journey in two days, assuming it went full hyperdrive.

Edited by Murph Tha Smurf: 12/31/2015 7:20:09 PM
sorry for the slow responses. Should be quicker now.
He is currently in a separate ship due to his current mission, hunting Callaech, and tries to check how long it would take in the smaller ship.
-
The ETA displays half a day less, not accounting for the same things.
-
"Suppose I might as well check it out." He accesses the .exe file.
-
The .EXE is extremely old fashioned, and is incompatible with the terminal.
-
"Hmm... perhaps there is something at the coordinates that could access it." He sets his ship on a course for the location.
-
I'll message you in a bit after I'm sure no one else will join.
