Today, I finished the golgoroth challenge for the 3rd time this week. Just like last time, I did not receive 320 gauntlets. I got the exact same drops as last week: two pairs of boots and a chest piece. For two months, I've had the same pair of 315 gauntlets and a 317 cloak. I have 3 gauntlets at 315, and 3 317 cloaks, but none higher than that. At oryx, I received another pair of 315 gauntlets.
So, in conclusion, having three of the same class does not necessarily mean you level up faster. RNG in this game is idiotic, and creates artificial play time to make up for the lack of genuine content. The odds of receving the same gauntlets multiple times are astronomically low compared to actually getting some that are 316+. This "smart loot system" is destroyed by the fact that you have 1/10 of a chance to get a 320 drop (non-challenge mode) IF you even get that piece of gear.
I'm seriously debating on whether or not to even continue playing Destiny anymore after this. The fact that I've gotten multiple duplicate drops (the odds of which are insane) pushes me away from the game. I have to rely on pure luck for a 320 cloak to drop, and now I've got to wait another two weeks for a shot at a pair of gauntlets.
I know I won't be getting a 320 cloak anytime soon, I've done just about everything in the game so what's the point even playing anymore?

Edited by TheFrozenInferno: 12/31/2015 1:03:38 AMI had a similar problem. My Hunter was something like 312 at the time and I was stuck with a 300 pair of gloves for what seemed like forever. Then once Golgoroth challenge came around the floodgates opened and all I ever get now is gloves. They'll come, just keep at it.
