[i][u]"Atea... Though... Weaponry fits the bill too..."[/u][/i]
[b]Anumi takes a deep breath. Short and simple. That's all she needed.[/b]
[i][u]"Back... On my home planet... I was used as a war machine... And when I didn't comply..."[/u][/i]
[b]She holds out a wrist. It has a few small scars and one long ripple like mark that looks like something had slithered onto her skin and left a permanent indentation.[/b]

[i] He lightly grabs her wrist in a calming hold, and examines it, looking back down at her.[/i] "I'm sorry Anumi."

[b]She shrugs. Though, she did feel relieved to have let it off her chest. The protective shelling begins to fold again and she quickly covers herself with her skirt and shirt. She leaves the hat on the couch. Her skin smooths out completely as the scars disappear. Her skin pales once more to a light complexion. Her eyes flash their normal blue and her hair almost glistens back into a normal black. She readjusts herself on the couch. She has almost forgotten the original deal, getting caught up in a swirl of thought.[/b]

[i] He smiles, resuming his original position at the bottom of the couch at her feet.[/i] "In exchange for that, I'll do you one better; I'll answer some questions that you may or may not have about me."

[i][u]"I guess... All I need to know... Do you fight for what you believe in...?"[/u][/i]

[i] He smiles.[/i] "Yes, I do."

[b]Anumi lays back, curling up on the couch. She stares ahead at one of the many fish tanks decorating the lounge.[/b] [i][u]"Guess that's it then..."[/u][/i]

"Are you sure?" [i]He says, standing up and sitting on the couch at her feet.[/i]

[i][u]"Yeah... I feel better..."[/u][/i] [b]The gentle patter of the last few remaining disappear and the clock on the wall lets out a small ring, signifying midnight.[/b]

"Alright." [i] He stands up, walking over and kneeling in front of her, his face about 6 inches from hers. She smells peppermint on his breath, and his breath is cold on her face.[/i] "If you ever need anything Anumi, all you have to do is ask." [i] A small smile plays at his lips.[/i]

[b]She gives a meek smile as well.[/b] [i][u]"I will."[/u][/i]

[i] He gives her a gentle kiss on her forehead, smiling as he stands up and turns his back to her, walking away.[/i]
