Congratulations - You've Made This Game Unplayable
The current state of Destiny is the worst thing that I have ever experienced in any video game that I have ever played. Honestly, this new Iron Banner is the worst of the worst, as the match making that was supposed to put teams against teams isn't working at all, as every Iron Banner game I have played so far was either me or me and a friend versus a team of 5 or 6. The lack of weapon balance is a joke. The connection to the servers is pathetic at best, and lag is always apparent.
Unless that Bungie Weekly Update in late January includes patch notes detailing how this game went to a more Year 1 weapon balance and/or how dedicated servers are a thing, I (and hopefully many others) will cease all purchases of ANY Destiny related DLC/games in the future. This is coming from a Destiny day one player. This is how serious this game's problems are. YOU'RE LOSING YOUR PLAYER BASE AND FUTURE PROFIT DUE TO THEM. JUST DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. SOON.

Having a freaking blast. When you don't give a rats ass about stats, it's sooooo much fun. Just meleeing everything and using extra grenades. Atheosis helm or whatever the hell it is that brings back full grenades and melee? Yes please.

2 RepliesI'm still playing, myself, but... It is LESS fun than the LW/Thorn/shotgun meta (never used those guns btw). The current meta feels just... odd and stale. Too many snipers and autos are still not as viable as my Nirwen's. Hard Light just can't dish out enough punishment.

1 ReplyUsually not one for complaining but I don't understand how Iron Banner is consistently garbage every single time going on over a year now. Makes no sense. It's infuriating to play. I'm typing this as I've literally been put in to my 5th straight game in progress on the losing team getting shellacked by full groups.

I just quit playing Destiny. There are way better games out there man. If you don't have the cash to buy something new then I strongly recommend the following free to play games: Neverwinter, Smite, and Warframe. Have fun, because we all know Destiny isn't capable of allowing that.

Going up against teams of five or six is often not even that bad during the Iron Banner. I think you get a lot of guys who don't play much pvp and they think "oh, it's the Iron Banner, I should get a team together." I've beat probably three or four teams of 5-6 today. And I also got put with a team of five and we almost got no mercy'd. Now if you run into a team of six on a Tuesday night in regular pvp, they probably will bend you over the nearest hard surface and have their way with you. Those are usually dudes who just like playing pvp.
