So, have you ever been like bored out of your mind on Destiny? I know I have. I will have just completed the Nightfall, done the raid(s), and everything on the weekly reset. I'll just be sitting there... Cursing master Rahool for his awful decrypting skills, and I'll think to myself all the things that could be added to creat a more enjoyable experience within the Destiny world. Here's my idea: in many online games you will find that even in the social spaces, your weapons could still be useful. During most times, your weapons will be as they are currently while visiting the tower: idle, but what if these alien races started attacking us whilst visiting the Tower? This wouldn't be some level 42 strike or raid that would obliterate all the guardians, but it would be something like a public event that would create a fun and welcoming experience to the Tower. I have it already figured out (other than the hard part that Bungie takes care of). Guardians would receive a warning (from Eris or Zavala or someone within the tower) that we were under attack. And some enemy ships could be seen in the horizon. A timer at the bottom would count down for 10 min to allow any other guardians to equip or to leave. The Guardians who choose to stay will be set to equal standards (as you are within normal crucible and patrol) with level advantages disabled, and the objective for defense would be the speaker area or the iron banner area (basically whatever bungie decides). The screen would read: "Defend us Guardian!" And once the timer has run out, the Enemies would commence their attack. This "public event" could happen as often as Bungie would like, but I would say around every two to three hours. Guardians would have to kill a boss and all the extra stuff within a certain amount of time or else they loose. To keep a consistent story line, the traveler would have to intervene and cast out the enemies. Resulting in a losing screen that reads: "You are better than this, Guardian". If you won, however, there would be a rewards chest that spawned for everyone who participated. RNG-sus could take the wheel. (Every pun intended) Let me know what you guys think!
