Nice try... He just finished saying on Crucible Radio that they both hover around a 1.0kd and that's exactly what they're after.

If everyone uses it then it wouldn't matter about the overall ratio. You could have a guy with 3.2 kdr and another with 0.5 kdr but it would still average out between all players. Those ratios only come into play in comparison to other weapons. Of which there aren't really because everyone has the same thing. Sad too. The weapons aren't OP or anything just easy to obtain and often used cuz everything else is bad

Check the stats on planet destiny. 1000 yard stare has 20% of all kills this past month. It's not there because it's an average gun.

That's not because 1000 yard is some OP magical sniper. It's because it's an easy to obtain quest reward with a good roll and one of like 31+ impact snipers in year two. Those are the reasons everyone uses it. It's nothing special honestly. It's standard for it'd archtype and has moderate aim assist.

Edited by Calculus-Entropy: 12/28/2015 11:42:28 PMWhy wouldn't it at least have those numbers considering 75% of people in pvp are using it and it was given to everyone through quests? The actual kd numbers for the gun are what matter. It's averaging a trade of 1 kill per 1 death which is ideal. That right there is showing you the gun itself isn't doing anything special or out of the ordinary. I hate being killed by it too but it's understandable when it's the most equipped sniper.

Every single person gets the hand cannon or the scout. Every person gets the rocket launcher. Do they get used? No because they're garbage. 1000 is not.

This game is loaded with primary options... How many high impact snipers does the game currently give out? The 1KS sits in a group of 3 three snipers that can do the same job. One is Hunter specific and the other is via the gunsmith. I'm not arguing that it's fair or not. I'm just saying that the gun itself has no data behind it that shows it's the proclaimed "bullet bender" or "pull the trigger with your eyes closed" weapon that everyone cries about. The real issue is lag anyways. This community (sometimes justifiably) calls for nerfs quite often. There is no coincidence that the nerfs always revolve around the lowest time to kill weapons. These weapons expose lag and give that "unfair" feeling. Go 1v1 with a sniper and if he has the slightest hint of a better connection than you, he wins. Sad, unfair,... but true.
