This happened on a bus, Al Shabaab likes to attack buses filled with non Muslims, they've done it before. Unlike ISIS they don't seem to kill Muslims. This time they got on a bus and told the Muslims to separate themselves from the Christians but they wouldn't. They shielded them and were prepared to die. Nobody died this time.
I am Muslim but I'm not trying to promote "see Muslims are good people", if you think they're all bad then good for you. But it doesn't matter if it was Christians defending Muslims, Jews defending atheists this is how humans should act towards each other. This was a very brave act.
Would you have done the same thing?
-
That's pretty sweet. There are Christians, Muslims, and Jews that all take their faith seriously like that. They are true believers, extremists give almost every religion a bad name.
-
Honestly religion should come to a close. I'm sure people would create some other nonsense to fill a meaningless existence, but that's to be expected. Back to your topic, it's wonderful that people set their personal differences aside for the sake of human life. This is by far the most important thing for humanity these days but so many choose to ignore this basic tenant. Someone's life should always come before someone's beliefs.

People shield people

I think the media is to blame for people thinking all Muslims are evil. I never thought so. Don't let one bad apple spoil the bunch.
-
I'd like to think I'd do the same thing.

I think people just freak out and make assumptions and generalizations about Islam.
-
Simply put, it's our media's fault for our view on Islam. As a form of Christian myself, some of the nicest people I've ever met were Muslim, my doctor was Muslim, my teacher was Muslim, and all are respectable figures. I study evolution with a Muslim, and he is possibly the nicest person I have ever met. I guess the saying "a few bad apples spoil the whole bunch" is definitely true here.

That's a shame.

Very brave God gave them courge and I'm not talking about Allah. That was extremely brave.

Faith in humanity:5% Last record:-1000% Percentage needed:95% Continue searching for that faith

I feel like there's a Rosa Parks joke in here somewhere.

Terrorists can't do shit if people aren't afraid. WE WILL NOT FEAR THE ISIS MENACE.
-
no, I wouldn't. I would let the terrorists shoot them and not block the gun shots. because I'd be dead because I'm an Atheist

Edited by Ghost of Reach: 12/29/2015 12:15:58 AMI don't think this was the first time, I think there was Christian protecting Muslim while they were praying once and vice versa. It restores faith in humanity for me every time.
-
I honestly thought that said shishkabaab for a few seconds. I was like what?
-
Amazing, that's the only word I have to describe this.

Hearing these kinds stories brings faith in humanity back.

I think it's fair to say this has restored some of my dwindling faith in humanity
