She came down puffy eyed. "Why... Why did you leave?"

"Because I was angry."

"Not at you.......at all of these secrets, that I can never know about."

"I... I... Okay. Forget Venus. Well stay here, and I'll tell you my life story, the abridged version."

He sat down on the couch and waited for her to explain

"When I was born, my parents didn't accept the Traveler as their new 'god'. And they died when I was two."

He continued to listen, not interrupting

"I was thrown from Orphanage to Orphanage. When I was 4, I met a nice boy who became friends with everyone he met."

He kept listening, not wanting to be rude

"Yup. Anyway, that was the orphanage I stayed at the longest."

"Yup." Her eyes got distant. "Anyway, best 7 years of my life. Then came the three worst."

"Oh, you know. Cancer, being a lab rat foe all the new shit that the Traveler made."
