So i'm a little fed up with the "Phalanx catapult", basically stating that, it's annoying that they made the phalanx shield a immovable object type of item. If someone doesn't know, in scripting a game, immovable objects are objects that cannot be damaged, destroyed, or moved. Now, when this applies the a MOVABLE shield, a melee hit by one is devastating in a game engine, the engine has no idea how to react to this and instead, the physics engine must react accordingly and...send you flying faster than a sparrow at full boost on overdrive...now this is funny when there is no wall behind or next to you as you go fling across the map, free cannon. But this is completely unfair if you're in a small corridor, i can understand the shield being immensely powerful, it's a shield, yes. But the catapult should not be there, it's a bug, and if it's on purpose, it seems more like laziness. That's all i gotta say, someone just give me some feedback, i know we've all gotten hit by it once

Half the fun of games like this, is dying by catapult... Record it, show friends, laugh asses off.

If they are walking, look at the off hand (ie. the shield free hand) side of the Phalanx. If you use hand cannons, there is an almost 'impossible' one-shot headshot, which can be made between strides, whilst they are behind the cover of their sheild. You can aim, but the moment is fleeting, so snap instead.

Golden gun goes right through them one shot.

An 800+ lbs alien should be able to smack you into orbit using his shield, just go with it and enjoy the ride. ;-)

I always laugh my ass off when a phalanx knocks me over a wall and into an abyss, like on the Undying Mind strike. I'm still waiting for that to happen and have a teammate with the "hitting a home run" emote. Makes the death easier to take when it's funny.

Those cabal on Mars always launch my ass across the map with those shields. Its all fun, until I hit the rocks on the opposite side of the map and die. I try to jump as they are hitting for that extra height and distance. ;)

I don't think it's a problem, and it doesn't happen for me often. They are too full of themselves anyway, pull out a shotgun and blast them in the face when they lung. I don't know why I love doing that but it's just some much fun.

It's just a fun glitch that happens every once in a blue moon. Just enjoy it when it happens and hope someone was their to laugh with you.
