Okay, I get that the Trials of Osiris exists, and in that game mode res-sniping is very important. So in that specific game mode there is a need for a high impact sniper if you are going to use one.
But my question is, why do people feel that they have to use the same sniper they use for Trials in PvE, Control, Rumble, Rift, Clash, Skirmish (there is reviving but the points are so minimal and people respawn anyways), etc?
In those game modes where you do not need to worry about killing a resurrected player in a single shot, a high stability, faster firing sniper would be so much more effective, cause it would still be a 1 shot kill to the head or a 2 shot body shot, but with less recoil and a higher fire rate. Yet all we see is people running 1000 Yard Stare, Erine, or Stillpericer in all of those game modes in which the impact to res-snipe is not needed.
Just seeing a variety in the different snipers used would calm down the we must nerf hate some of those weapons are getting.

One thing is that if you want to do well a lot of people will use the same sniper through other activities so that they have a good feel for it and are comfortable and familiar with how it handles.

It's called consistency

I use the Eiriene because it can kill people in their super(ie: Bladedancer Stormcaller Radiance and HoS)

That's why in raids high impact is still necessary, as you must stager Oryx or risk a wipe. As far as 1000yd stare goes, it grants an extra shot for free and for PvE strikes the percentage in damage done just from having one extra bullet is impressive. Outside of this however you have a very good point!

Nost players feel that same. The big this is.... its just a game and people will play to thier strengths. Why do you care how other players use thier games? If they're not cheating then what's the big deal
