Who do you think Rey is the daughter of? If you have not seen this movie yet then why are you here? Go see it and come back here to discuss this!
Anyway, here's what I think. Because Luke's lightsaber lured her to it, and because she has a strong connection to the force, just like the sky walkers before her, I believe that she may be Luke's daughter. You could say that she is Han and Lea'd daughter, but that does not make sense when considering that Lea is not as strong with the force as Luke, and she never became a Jedi, along with Han not being force sensitive. Is it impossible for Luke to have had a wife? The rules of the Jedi order changed, and it's not unreasonable to think that Luke got married, maybe even to another Jedi, and that Jedi could have been killed by Kylo Ren. Of course there could also be a case of incest, which would, um. Never mind that. I don't think Rey would just be some random person who just happened to be extremely powerful in the force.
also autocorrect screwed me over, I meant Luke not likens. Now I can't really fix the poll option, so oh well.
Edit/update: Disney messed up and now we know the answer: http://youtu.be/D_0pFTKmsfs
Well, it turns out Rey is probably Luke's daughter,
If she is Luke's daughter... Than who was the mother? The only other women we've seen in the original trilogy was that woman in the control room and... oh God...
-
A theory I read somewhere is that she's cloned from Luke's hand. I believe it
-
She is related to Obi-Wan
-
the vid got removed. what was it?
-
This theory that she's a Kenobi is pretty interesting
-
Jedi can't have romantic relations, just look how well it turned out for Anakin.
-
She is not lukes, Jedis don't have relationships like that and Luke knows it. I haven't read this personally but I am to understand that she is the kid of a friend of lukes who was given a gift from the Jedi temple, and the gift stayed near the child's bed and that's where she became close to the force ( a little shaky theory to me but it's what iv been told)
-
Not Luke. He was a good Jedi, they don't have relationships or children.
-
Thanks for ruining the movie asshole
-
I'm going with Obi-Wan had a daughter. He had a girlfriend who was pregnant, but died. The child might have been saved, and she may have had a daughter with Luke. That would explain Rey's incredible Force powers, her wall climbing, why she was drawn to Anakin's Lightsaber, why she heard Obi-Wan in her vision, and her fighting style of jabbing and making circles with her Lightsaber.
-
Supposedly shes...Obi Wan Kenobi's granddaughter
-
She's likens daughter
-
She is the daughter of the rolling spaghetti monsters, in ep.9 she will lead them to evolve into flying spaghetti monsters and rule the galaxy.
-
Obi wans grand daughter
-
Luke did have a wife. He had a son, and his son had another son, Luke's grandson, Cade Skywalker

Edited by Tanner: 12/24/2015 7:12:34 AMRey is Luke's daughter. The SW: Force Awakens #2 trailer explains it. "The force is strong with my family. My father has it. I have it. You have that power, too."
-
When Kylo Ren was interrogating Rey he said there was an island. Luke was on an island. Almost like Rey had a force vision or something.
Illuminati Confirmed
Wasn't it said that Rey was Luke's daughter? Either way I think it goes something like this Darth Vader + Padme Luke. + ? Leia. +Han Rey. Ben Solo (kylo Ren) Rey and Ren are cousins.
