People saying no it isn't are dumb. Yes cannabis is a gateway drug for numerous reasons. First off you get introduced to the dealers, the same people who can give you access to stronger drugs. Secondly it removes the taboo from illegal drug use. You smoke a bit of weed, it's illegal, it was fun, right? Kinda makes it seem not so bad doing other drugs. Trust me, I've been there, done the lot. Just because you didn't progress onto stronger drugs doesn't mean it isn't a gateway drug, it is.

Lol that is funny and so not true. I've been smoking weed for years and never have I ever wanted to go smoke crack or anything other than weed and I can say the same of all the people I know that smoke that's all they do.

Yes that is a very real possibility that some people may go on to other things, but in general no they don't, one of my friends is now a cop, I went to college and now am a web designer. I was never exposed to any other drugs when buying and that's the real issue, some dealers sell other things than just weed, and they may be pressured into trying or buying other things.
