I'm sorry, I might go into a bit of a rant here.
But I've been noticing a trend recently where in every party I join there is at least one and usually multiple people telling tall tails about how high they are.
Now honestly, I don't care that you use whatever. Some of the people I regularly play with do some type of drug or another.
What baffles me is how some people tend to think they're somehow badasses for having the ability to pop a pill in their mouths. Nobody cares that it's "legal in your state". I'm from holland, do you think we go around advertising our drug use to every random person we meet? Not only does it make you look kind of dumb, but do you even realize there's also younger kids playing this game that might actually think it's kinda cool that you get to stay home all day, smoke weed and play video games while you're ignoring your crying child in the background?
I hate to be that guy, but damn, show some dignity.

Did you try telling them that you didn't like it or try to change the subject?
Closed mouth dont get fed
If you don't like something speak your mind right then and make it known (*^-^*) As far as younger kids playing and over hearing these conversations I somewhat agree. But as a parent its my responsibility to monitor my child while hes online in case he is exposed to something inappropriate. But this is an mmo people do and say things you may or may not like or agree with^^

I don't play with small child, or have a screaming baby at my house. So I'm good to smoke. My question is how can yall play this game 1000+ hours and be sober.
-
Drugs are bad people! Don't use them!
-
Im the opposite. I may take a break to "let my dog out", which is code for i am gonna smoke a bowl. No need to broadcast what i do at my home.
-
Modern drug culture is strange for sure.

I think you're more annoyed with the personality than you are with the drug use. There are responsible and irresponsible users of illicit substances. I liken "drug use" to alcohol consumption. Both are stress relievers for a lot of people. If there are younger kids playing the game, that's not the responsibility of the substance user to watch what they're saying or doing; it's the responsibility of the parent to monitor their minor's online experience and judge whether or not that's an environment they should be exposed to. In terms of the game, it should be inconsequential. If I smoke weed or drop a tab of LSD, I'm probably NOT going to mention it, but the only thing that should matter is the quality of my teamwork. I don't think "LFG" should factor in the upstanding nature of the party members. I understand the overall message you're trying to convey but I would caution against demonstrating an air of pretentiousness when it comes to non-gaming related things. Different strokes for different folks.

Stroke the furry wall.
-
Never tell anybody but a huge bong rip in the mic kinda gives it away....
-
I'm constantly pulling billies while playing. So yeah.
-
It's not the discussion of it that bothers me. It's the type of talk. Marijuana can be a very beneficial thing- one I have benefited from before- but people who speak incessantly about how stoned they are and allow it to define their lives annoy me. And if your gamertag/PSN name is something like BluntBlazerxXx420xXx, I'll probably automatically assume that you are a dumbass.

Destiny + weed = lols Destiny + no weed = shit game Destiny = shit game
-
Kinda like everyone telling me how much they work out, I don't give a -blam!- how many reps you can do.
-
I don't do drugs... I smoke weed.
-
Hey, how else are you supposed to enjoy such a shallow grind? You just gotta bake until you forget you're not on Venus dancing in the orange soda puddles, that's how you have fun.

Kids in the background and ripping a bong hit. Classic. Your name is 420bongrippersmokeeverydayweedpleasethinkiamcool420myegodependsonyouacceptingmeandthinkingiamcoolweed420, so we already know you are cool so at least mute the mic, and go to a room with no babies in it.
-
High af right now. Smoke and a pancake?
-
Edited by Ropeslap: 12/23/2015 12:06:42 AMI don't get high anymore since I became a dad. I play with people who are high and play really well I play with people high and suck I play with people who are sober and suck. Get off your high horse and shut the f up. If you play with idots it because you play with idot not because they're high.
-
Your right btw
-
Remember, vaping is pointless if you don't do it in people's faces!
-
I get my dick sucked all the time while i play...is that bad also?
-
sadly it's been this way since at least the 90s. a lot of potheads / munchies and video games you're going to run into those type of people in online gaming
-
I get high. I get high while I play. I don't get all on your face about it. but yeah be a responsible user.
