I've seen some fishy s#!+ too. From players that have some kind of force field around them to players who skip ahead to some that strangely get turbo speed the last last and you just watch them pull away from you despite you following the same line and have the same sparrow. I can only do a few matches at a time of this anymore because of all the last lap crap that occurs. That and it simply will NOT drop me a 320 item despite almost being at level 4. Best I've got were three 318 helmets and one 318 bond.
