But you can 3 man the entire thing with a self res lock and a golden gun for the atheon battle, if you dont see a use for these go away.

It can be solo'd but it's with glitches.

You can but there's a mechanic at gorgon where the door doesn't open unless you have 3 or more people in the fireteam so 3 if you want to do the whole thing

No I understand the subclass choices. Have three manned hard before. Trust me, a sunsinger warlock is a must have for the final encounter.
