I enjoy a lot about the game but I cant help feel that Year 2 was simply not what anyone expected. Do I like the direction it is going in? No, because they're trying to sell us stuff that isnt the game. All the DLC's were full of more Destiny content, but these Live events are full of, content thats only partially Destiny.
A lot of people love the game (gameplay, pve, pvp, raids, gear, community), we want to do more in pvp we want more reasons to play pve, thats where Quests come in, if we had more Quests (replayable) for loot people would be inclined to play. The Weekly reset feels old thats why its not exciting. What do we ever get that's really new out of weekly reset? A nightfall change.. I wish there was better timegating, where the daily mission are new missions everyday and every week there's 3 new pve quest chains to complete with purple engram rewards.
It's hard to write about this without including my own opinions. The question is about Bungie and the direction theyre heading: I dont like the live events because theyre not Destiny, they're not the reason I picked up the game in the first place. I want more of that (Quests, reason to play, rewards, gear, all those things were in the traditional dlc's). TTK did a great job on Gear, Im still finding amazing rolls and exotics every couple days! The game is the game, there's only so much you can say about it because Bungie/Activison have the final say on decisions.
