Spaceballs 2 is likely happening.
Hopefully Rick Moranis returns to play Dark Helmet. It just wouldn't be the same without him.

Seen this coming a few months ago. The timing was just too perfect. Mel Brooks makes a statement that he's ready to return to film at almost the same time Rick Moranis says he'd be willing to come back to Hollywood for the right role. With the original being my all time favorite movie.. I'm cautiously optimistic. Let's face it.. sequels rarely catch the same spark that made the original great. John Candy has passed. And the cartoon was -blam!-ing terrible. But then again, everything Mr Brooks creates is comedic gold, so who knows!

I read an article about him losing his wife and him staying away from acting. He refused the role reprisal for the new ghostbusters movie, but maybe there is hope. Keep firing assholes
