I don't any sufficiently advanced form of life would be scared of humans killing them hell unless you are seriously messed up no one would even dare bring a gun near one. Imagine some redneck shooting one and as retribution they wipe out a million of us not exactly a worthy trade. If their is more advanced intelligent life it either doesn't know about us or has no interest in us as we have nothing to offer if we truly had anything they wanted they'd simply take it.
