This is a serious problem, our team had serious trouble because of teleporting ogres last night. no matter what we done we couldn't fix it. we got down to the last ogre after 3 shades, done exactly what we had been doing the whole fight and then BAM!! the ogre I started shooting appeared right in front of me. I know damage is not the issue, we were tearing the ogres down in a few seconds max. nearly two hours later I just said I couldn't fight this any more.
It is so frustrating because this does not include the other silly deaths that take place when fighting Oryx like a knight that sinks in to the ground and kills you with his sword from underneath the floor, or the random death that takes place when the runner takes the brand or when the echo slams inside the shade and some one gets teleported and there is absolutely nothing that person could have done to avoid it and then there are the deaths that are actually your own fault.
if your gonna ask people for the perfect run on hard mode then you have to give us something with less glitches.

Heard a good theory about the teleporting ogres, not sure how to prove it, but the theory is if you stagger them backwards too much, then they glitch off the map and then teleport. Try not to push them back so much.

It's hard crota all over again. Is it hard? Nope. Good luck getting a glitch free run, though. [spoiler]the sword still dissapears on crota, that's probably a bad sign.[/spoiler]

The problem is that people think the challenge is setting off all 16 blights at once. The challenge is really kill 3 shades. So even if an ogre teleports you can still finish the challenge.

I was on my Titan as sunbreaker. I always threw an incendiary grenade, one rocket from my 320 Elulim's Frenzy with cluster bombs, then sniped him, or the 2 defenders up top and I finished it off with ToM. No teleport. Killed in like 2 - 4 seconds. -
I noticed the first day it was acting normal. I did 2 runs pretty easily. This weekend however it was acting up. Ogres teleporting no matter what you threw at them. Get 2 runs perfect 3rd run ogres all over the place. I said it was lag in other posts and got made fun of that I don't know the mechanic. I'm aware of having to do constant dps and stagger. My group did this and still ogres teleport.

Happened to me a lot the other night, whole team had to get a bomb as two teleported, then a mad rush to get to me with the relic after i set mine off, still gt the 1HKO though.

We did what others also did, send a fifth person out to get the stray orb(s). None of us like when the game glitches out, but instead of wiping and considering that run a waste of time, you gotta try to use the lemons to make some lemonade. Bungie is definitely aware of this issue by now, so we need to either deal with it until it's fixed or put the game on the shelf.

I like everyone's response to just kill them faster. We killed one ogre before it was done coming out of the ground and it still teleported to the middle of the map with full health. Btw, I finished it on all 3 characters but this was certainly a problem every time.

This happens to us. After the second wipe. We just let it happen. We used 5th guy to get the other orbs. Still detonated 16 orbs. Challenge completed.

This happened to my team, but then we theorized that it was due to the AoE grenades we kept on using, because it only happened on the 2,3,4 rounds and when a person threw a grenade. Next time we did it and no Ogres teleported. We do Oryx on our last character and as a Hunter up top I accidently threw a Vortex grenade out of habit and boom the Ogre teleported. This doesnt make this confirmed, but it was pretty darn convincing when we stopped throwing grenades, the Ogres stopped teleporting

If you snipe the ogres and make them stagger they won't teleport in the 3rd and 4th round. Can't use just tom

We solved problem by having a Titan using ToM and one sniping. I think it has something to do with the stacked orbs, like it won't let 2 stack in exact same location.

My fireteam has noticed they seem more likely to teleport when you throw area of affect grenades at them. Plate holders should use heavy weapons on the ogres and snipers on the Knights. Ran it three times with no teleports after we stopped throwing grenades.

Its not a bug! If you do enough damage in time and kill them they teleport on a random basis. Its a mechanic. Also happens out of the challenge not as often, they uped the rate for challenge mode.

Try to figure out a way to exploit it, like the Templar Push, or Crota Infinite Kneel... Then, and only then, Bungie will find a way to fix it.

It may only be that single ogre where it is, but if you stun lock it and then don't kill it fast enough after that it moves to where it was supposed to be had it not been interrupted. This is especially the case with ogre 4... Every other ogre will have had 3 people shooting, minimum. Pillar guy, 2 center guys... Your 3rd pillar just needs to pop a few snipers across the way before their knight. It's the hardest pillar to manage...

Finally managed to get it done on Friday night and then Saturday day with my second character. I got it done with my third character Saturday night but I was on a fire team for 4 hours. the glitches were real bad, lag was bad as well. I managed to get it done in the end with all three characters.

Yeah -blam!-ed up our challange oryx a phew times but got there in the end and got the se gear from both chests lol
