Gave up, after 2hours of carefull planning and practicing we finally detonated 16 bombs and he will only take partial damage and wouldn't go into the final dps round in front, we assumed it was lag so we tried it another 4 time and same thing happened, needless to say there was a salt overload

After the 2nd try, we gave up.

Make sure someone is constantly shooting Oryx's chest when you detonate bombs (usually the runner), otherwise you risk not doing full damage....

No problem. Glad you got it done.

We had that 4 or 5 times. Eventually we just ran another round and detonated 20. That did the trick.

But the aim is to kill the shade 3 times and then kill oryx or is that not the case?

That didn't do anything different for us. Detonating 16+ orbs all at once did though
