Need to be able to be a Fallen race along with a new class. While we are at it let us be a cabal or even a Hive trying to reclaim his former races livelihood and forge a new path in the light (or a different one forged in the darkness free of the rule of incompetent masters). The new class (and related subclasses) should be darkness related as someone else posted that the stranger did say not all paths are forged in the light. So I think the medium based class would work (somewhere between a Titan/warlock and a hunter). Where the armor is mid sized but still more powerful than a hunter as far as the look of it goes, but not as strong as the Titan, but faster a Titan, only not as fast as a hunter should be. Something like a destiny version of Slade Wilson with powers of darkness and maybe not missing an eye. Just spitballing ideas here. Could do it all day, e'eryday.
