Later old friend, I thought I knew you...
After much self reflection (and thanks to a handful of a few of those kind hearted Guardians out there) I have concluded there is no reason to keep supporting this game. Or, im sorry to say, this company. Bungie, you've changed.
For the past 2 years I have butted in on every person giving your game and company iSh for everything shady and scheme you've done. Dawning rose colored glasses I defended you at every turn. Blind admiration driving every argument.

I have been told just wait for Destiny 2 and all the problems we have will go away, but why are there problems to begin with? They wont go away. The micro-transactions showing their true colors. The severe lack of actual content; [b]farming is not content its filler![/b] And ive had my fill. Ive filled myself to the point of Violet Beauregarde status. (points if you get that!)
I will miss this game, I really will. It's why I have kept the Hunter for now. He will meet his end soon though. nearly 800 hours which now feels to have been wasted.
I will miss my Titan the most, who has been with me since the Beta. [b]She's not dead! Just missing![/b] Once I've done a couple more things I will delete the Hunter. There by removing any temptation to come back to this game and be hurt again. Like an abused spouse I can only take so much before the ties get cut. (I hope someone gets butthurt over this line)

Once all 3 of my characters I have worked so hard to level, adorn with new precious gear, and taken to the front lines of the crucible are gone. I will make one new guardian. A Titan. A seed. And I will leave this community, this Tower, this system. I hear theres a team being formed that needs new Rainbow members out there. She will not awaken. Just lie there in front of the Great Wall.
When (because we all know it will) Destiny 2 hits, I will buy it. Used. I will give it an honest few days, holding my hopes to my chest. Praying Bungie has somewhere along the line turned things around. But until that day my Titans younger sister will just have to wait.
After all, [b]a corpse should be left well alone.[/b]

2 RepliesA week after destiny dropped you could have sat outside and gotten one for free from all the returns being turned away at GameStop. Saw two people just toss theirs in the garbage. Won't be surprised if destiny 2 has the same lifetime with the microtransaction direction it's taking

1 ReplyBeen a couple weeks since I inserted Destiny into my console. Been over a month since I played on a regular basis. The Halloween event, time gated content and the selling of silver were the final nails in the coffin for me. I'm not deleting characters because there's really no point. Once my kids get bored of it, I will just uninstall the game. I'll keep an eye on the development of any Destiny 2.0 version, but I won't buy it new. I'll have to see if they make some whole sale changes before I even consider playing it. I'll watch some game play and monitor it from afar before I make a move. I really hope they learn from their mistakes and stop trying to grab cash because Destiny has a lot of potential. But right now it's a fu##ing mess.

1 ReplyHaven't played in 4 weeks. Once the addiction is broken it just feels like a bad relationship. I do miss it and wish it could have lasted but just have to keep looking towards the horizon. More than 2k hours put into this tramp, what was I thinking?

You're mistaken .. I play this game religiously and I'm getting sick of the same content over and over ... What PlSSES ME OFF THE MOST is I payed for the dark below and the house of wolves DLC ... And they're useless now .... U gave them away with TTK update to new players .... So I ask myself ... Why would I pay for anything more on this game ... So In 1 year it will have no purpose ? So in 1 year it'll be free with the next DLC ... This game is going to die ... Such a shame.

19 RepliesI feel the same, given up on destiny and moved on. My biggest gripes was no opmm/lfg system or infuse on year 1 legendaries. I spent far too long (2100 hours) getting all my year 1 gear only to have it be useless a few days later

1 ReplyI think most day one players are pretty pissed off at how this game has ended up, I've been a pvp player since launch and now I just can't stand it, I've been trying to force myself to play thinking something might click, that I might understand and enjoy how it plays gain but pvp is a joke now, absolutely ruined from all the nerfs and other changes made

Don't farm for exotics that really don't give you an edge on anything anyway. just play it casual.. On the other hand if you can't quit and playing it is really negatively impacting your life you should just walk away from it all together. The game is designed to keep you playing by using a reward system that affects people with addictive personalities. Just delete it. why make a big public post about it? Go.. stay.. Whatever! But just stop driveling all over the place about it like some weirdo making a street show production.
