so the main argument against incest is that theres a high chance of mutations in the child yes? well what if the two involved had a 0% chance of reproducing? say with a vasectomy? then if they felt they truly loved each other, they could be together. i mean, who are we to deny two peoples love for one another?
this is really just something to think about. at one point it was wrong for whites and blacks to marry, (along with other races) there was also the matter of gays marrying with many claiming "if it doesnt hurt you, don't worry about it!" or "what others do behind closed doors doesn't affect you!" in addition to all the new issues of trans people and whatever else is out there. so if theres no ill side effects, who can honestly say this will never be a thing in the future?
Final Thought: we've learned or accepted that incest is wrong. However through logical questioning, this idea would mean incest is okay if certain standards are met. I agree with the majority of you, incest is wrong, just logic dictates otherwise. and logic can be a bitch sometimes. however where do we draw the line? if logic continuously pushes our limits, do we let it to better ourselves as humans? possibly making us "less" human? or do we stop ourselves in order to preserve what we already have? it's an interesting thought and one that probably won't be answered for a very long time.
