Here's a couple of examples of the AoE reduction. I don't think thats fair at all. The only time i can really get a solid hit on an enemy is when I'm right above them or when they are in a tight space. Just increase AoE. Thats all i want.

Agreed

First video he shadestepped before your hammer got there. 2nd video was just lag, aa the 2 you swung hammers at died seconds later, and everyone on screen was yellow barring. 3rd video your aim was completely off, landed nowhere near him, and you were focused by nearly the whole team because you made yourself very conspicuous by staying in the air
-
You literally missed almost every time or hit some object that was in the way... Not an AoE issue
-
-
Look a Titan complaining SHOCKER
-
Bungie makes a ranged class for Titans then proceeds to nerf it by making it harder to kill at range...
-
Its just how the ninja-nerf to the Bladedancer lunge range causes hit - detection issues for Bladedancers. Now Sunbreakers have the same issue with their Hammers. Bungie even described HoS as a super that fired rockets. Hammers don't feel like rockets at all now. The Hammer of Sol feels as if I am trying to throw sticky grenades at people now, because if you don't hit them directly, they won't even do that much damage. Except that all sticky grenades including Flux grenades track A LOT better. Its easier to get Fusion grenade kills now than Hammer kills. That is backwards and now Sunsinger Warlocks are better. I understand having to aim the Hammers, but requiring a direct hit to kill is really harsh when Golden Gun can do it better with instant-hit literally undodgable shots with massive aim assist. You don't even have to really have your aim directly on a target with Golden Gun to hit. As long as the edge of your crosshairs are touching the target Golden Gun will always hit, especially with the Deadeye perk. Bring back the Hammer AoE splash damage. It is the point of the super. You already could dodge Hammers the Titan just had too much armor + Cauterize. With those balanced, Titans are now plenty killable. It doesn't need to be literally impossible to hit any moving targets with Hammers. I say that if the Hammer is close enough to proximity detonate, it should be close enough to kill. I think that is fair enough. Right now the proxy-det may even prevent you from killing targets by having the Hammer explode too far away from the target. Buff Hammer of Sol AoE splash damage!

I'm going back to Warframe

Edited by Racebum: 12/16/2015 1:21:20 AMclass is worthless. i tried it after nerf, was just sad striker is now more effective they should have left it alone and just reduced the armor like 95% of people told them to, worst case keep the health regen timer on top of it their meddling broke something else that was fun....added to the list of course
-
LMAO at everyone saying "OMG now you have to HIT them git gud!" Hammers are much more difficult the farther away and faster the object they're trying to hit is. If you miss and don't get a hammer off fast enough you're dead. And even before the nerf you needed the hammer to hit your target directly to kill! And to those saying that tracking was good, that's a total lie. Tracking before was literally useless besides the recovery and agility boosts.
-
Hammers have felt weird lately. It fells like some hammers kill and then some don't. I remember hitting a guy directly with a hammer only for him to turn around and kill me. I'm pretty sure he was not lagging though.
-
I was able to kill people with it in 6s, but there were some very questionable plays where people survived direct hits. Hit detection in general has been VERY bad since the patch. People surviving hammers, shoulder charge, and blade dancer slashes. It's horrible.

Edited by PapaSohan: 12/15/2015 7:31:51 PMA lot of us called it before the patch came out, HoS has been completely ruined. The subclass as a whole pales in comparison to all other subclasses except defender (and Arcblade due to the current glitch where meleeing doesn't work properly). Yet another example of Bungie waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay overdoing a nerf/buff. Oh well, back to playing as Striker.
-
So let me get this straight you are mad because your hammers don't have aoe like grendes and tracking like a rocket... Interesting topic here
-
I think HoS did not need to be nerfed. Hunters any Warlocks have blink and using that alone stops HoS. They waste at least 2-3 hammers trying to kill that one Hunter or Warlock. Also shadow shot stopped a HoS in there tracks. Warlocks storm call, in my opinion was more broken than HoS. They can blink while using their super. I got killed a lot more from storm callers then HoS because of the damn blink and HoS made a noise when they popped their super, so all you had to do was run away from the noise. I never herd no noise when a storm caller popped there super.
-
I think its fine. On the last video i think you would have had that hunter but he backed up at the last second and only took 76 damage. Its hard to accept but its not just throwing hammers everywhere you have to aim more accurately.
-
Nah you're just missing. Try using shadowshot.
-
The biggest problem with HoS was the fact that you were a nearly unstoppable tank who could toss 6 or 7 nova bombs without worry of reprisal. I think Sunbreakers just got a little too used to the fire-and-forget nature of the hammers, which was entirely too strong. You'll have to place them a little more carefully now. Give it some time and you'll get used to it.
-
If I was those guardians who killed you, I would of tea bagged you after such a mediocre hammer throwing sesh
-
Edited by Drewbacca: 12/16/2015 1:21:11 AMThe problem is that in third person my character likes to block my aim... What a dbag
-
Agreed.
-
1st one you suck 2nd one you suck but I see what you mean 3rd one I have no comment
-
Shut up. It's still the only super that can do what it does. It just requires more skill now.
-
Yea and there's like no tracking now. At all. Threw a hammer yesterday at a guy standing straight in front of me. It missed. I'm done.
-
I have yet to play my titan with hammers since the nerf. From looking at your videos I can see that the 1st one you clearly missed. The 2nd one there was a wall in front and you had aimed just a tad to the left you still managed a double from it once you got away from the walls. The 3rd.. again you position slightly to the left of the guy and there's a wall absorbing some of the dmg. You did damage him, just not enough for a kill. He back stabbed you btw.. that does some nasty dmg. I'll think more on it when I feel like playing my titan in pvp. I always sucked with hammers anyway, even pretty nerf. People just ran from me and I could barely get kills unless I popped in front of them.

Edited by SalutexMO: 12/15/2015 9:19:58 PMDamn man you now actually have to AIM at your target to kill him? You mean to tell me you can't get kills by throwing your hammer 500 ft away from someone with splash damage? Aww man Bungie plz buff sunbreakers, they have to actually put in effort for their kills.
