You didn't mention tupac, I approve. It's horrible because rappers have taken a shift towards pop and electro music, as you now some electronic songs have been known to have their voices changed to unusual depths (a step even further than auto tune) However that doesn't mean it's a bad thing BUT on rap it just sounds straight out retarded i.e Young Thug. There's still that elite few out there doing the damn thing such as DMX, N.O.R.E., Mobb Deep, 8 Ball & MJG, Chingy, Bun B, Mystikal... But 90% of people in this day and age don't bump them (or know who they even are for that matter) because they only hear what's on the radio and automatically deem rap trash. 2 Chainz once said it himself he just delivers stupid, generic lyrics because he knows it sells so while people clown him, he, he makes a couple hundred thousands a year.
