....and that was the first time my heart ceased to beat. Alone, above the rocky horizon she stood. Perhaps...perhaps she was the horizon. A shadow had never paled the sun before this day, and I fear it shan't again.
There in her celestial beauty, before me she stood. Time seemingly stopped, but just for a moment. For just the single fleeting second it required for my senses to acknowledge, perhaps even praise, the flawless and unmistakably malevolent being my eyes had captured.
And just like that, in the time it might take the wind to whisper to you its secrets; she left.
Seemingly, she faded into the very horizon that she had created. In that brief moment, that tiny glyph of time in an ever expanding universe, I knew I had seen love.
Yes, seen love. The very act philosophers may deny, that which poets of yore can only begin to describe; something I still cannot describe, even to myself.
Grief overtook me. I had not the strength to even brace myself as I collapsed. My hands hit the rocky surface with a force that could rival gravity itself. If you had told me one day prior that such a fragment of a moment could alter my heart so greatly, I'd have bet everything against you.
Then suddenly, as if fate had called my name, she beckoned. Nay, this could not be so. Hours must have passed since I last saw her, but then, I heard it again.
eeeiiiiGGGHHEEEEEEIIIAHHHH
Omnigul had returned! For me? I cannot say. I know now one goal, and one goal alone; that to recover my heart.
It's not that my heart was missing, rather that it was being kept from me. Venture now, I will. To the depths, or perhaps a new height, in any instance; for love.
