Now before I even start I going to say right now that I'm going to take shit left and right for this "thank you" but hey, it's high time someone do it.
anyway.
Thank you, I'm one who was here since beta (even so far back in the halo days when the halo series was good), read all the articles, explored all the things, and been active on the forums. I've seen this game grow and expand and become so much more than when I played that beta, saw things like "That wizard came from the moon!" become the trendy funny thing. Now I wish I could understand why some of these people think this game got worse, but I made a theory on how that may be. Feel free to read: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/177234406
But anyway, once the game came out I did get ticked but I got over it pretty fast because the game as it was, was still really good and the game play and graphics were just right.
When The Dark Below came out and word in the air about the house of wolves in the future, I could see the improvements coming (Though really didn't think TDB was worth $20) but hey I won't complain because I didn't buy it until it went on sale. When house of wolves came out I was super excited when I heard about the arena in place of the raid (which really I didn't care about because I liked the idea of taking the place of a gladiator as a guardian and with arena armor and weapons fairly easy to get.) 7 different bosses and 4 mini bosses sounds good, and the ability to bring my old set of Kabr armor from the dust. Loved house of wolves.
Then came TTK. For me and my bud it was like a bullet out of the blue when the trailer came out. I saw all the things coming and I figured this would be fantastic, which it was. Quests, secrets, missions, weapons, foundries, was really excited about swords. TTK had a ton of new stuff, improved everything that was destiny. (How much you wanna bet that comment is gonna generate 50+ angry replies) TTK was massive, made other viable options beside thorn and last word with party crasher and felwinter with blink. Gave us third sub-classes, huge raid, nifty new gear, the list goes on and on. Really something great.
I talk with people while playing the game and they agree, But you come to the forums all of a sudden it's like the complaints never end, "Nerf this, nerf that, so on"
This game is great, it keeps getting better. will people ever stop whining, probably not. Will they all ever be satisfied, nope. Will we ever understand, who knows.
I like this game, it's unique and took a step away from the gaming singularity, (which these newer games are so very blindly running towards) still got mass effect Andromeda to look forward to, and till the end of year 10 to play.
And it's worth a thank you for the guff you have to put up with from us and still be able to make this game better, constantly checking, adding, fixing, and allowing us to help create along the way.
Cheers to you my lads, and don't stop making what you make.
Now if you excuse me I've probably got a bunch of damage control to take care of down below or maybe I'll find that there's a bunch of people who agree, one way or another, into the fray.

You know, you are the kind of guy that I wish there were more of in this game. I know destiny has had it's ups and downs but it does not mean bungie is not trying. People give them a lot of crap but I will be by their side for all their games 😊

*Gathers 5 guardians in tower.* *to eververse* "hey Tess, um that'll be 1,2,3... Yeah 6 congratulatory licences please" "any in particular?" "surprise us" "can do . . . Alright there you go" "Thanks Ms. Everis" *finds arbitermaster12* "alright guys here we go." *6 guardians leap in front and an assortment of clapping, cheering and dancing commenced* "U DA MAN, WHO DA MAN? U DA MAN!"

They should have kept the etheric light system, maybe change the upgrade material but I would love to use shadow price in Kings fall

The game is great, if I had any complaints they are these. I believe Bungie took the work out of the game ( Again because of complainers ) how many of us played just to try and get that one weapon, or armor. ......now it feels like everything is open and available without much if any work. I spent an entire year working to get my Gally just to get it a week before Xur sold it, Yr 2 I have everything already. The other is the community ( Not Bungies doing ) I cant remember a group of people that had the same passion having such a broad view on a subject. In all, whatever Bungie has for us next I'll have it preordered the day they release it.

Thanks for this post. I'm in no way affiliated with Bungie other than also loving this game, it's just nice to actually see some positivity on this toxic forum. I hope someday I'll run into you on patrol!

I totally agree. Although at times i lose faith in their business model, I'd gladly pay for content like TTK. This Black Friday the whole game was selling at 35$. That's a steal

You can't find a raid experience like destiny anywhere outside of mmo's. At a time when 90% of first person shooters all feel like the same reskinned game, destiny stands apart.

Neigh!

Love the game as well, but to be honest, I don't think you need to thank BUNGIE for it. I mean, ur paying them right? But hey, you're more than welcome to show appreciation for your favorite title. That's just my two cents

Well being a long time gamer, am 51, I have seen the utter worst of the consoles, games etc....I threw all of the CoD 's away since Destiny came out and have not looked back, yes there are flaws, but it is a ever evolving, meaning not everything stays the same. Been here since day one, and am not leaving, to each their own!!

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡° ) You have been visited by fat Lenny like this post in 3 hours or 25 hours later a fat guy will fall on you and will not get up for 6 hours

Ppl who like this game should critique it. Don't get why it's so polarizing to have such strong opinions either way. I like Destiny but it's stale. Period. No griping no blaming anyone. It's just boring and I know there are others who will disagree. Ok cool, doesn't mean we both don't like Destiny. Shoot, I can even hate a game and still be honest enough to post it's good points. It's called perception, everyone is different. Hopefully this game gets back on track with what they originally marketed it to be. Right now it feels like they are money grabbing with minimal content release. I know ppl consider this an MMORPG, but it's also FPS. Everyone knows FPS players have a short attention span and are used to fresh content and new titles from a series released each year or every other year.

Edited by Walrus Walter: 12/13/2015 4:27:35 AMDestiny, Dishonored, Battleborne, Undertale, Bloodborne, Splatoon, and Overwatch These brand new IP's are what I call, the start of the melting pot generation What is the Melting Pot Generation? the melting pot generation is my theoretical generation for brand new IP's. The melting pot generation takes previous genres of games and mechanics, and meshes them together to form something unique amongst their predecessors Think about Battleborne and Overwatch are MOBA-Styled FPS's Destiny is a mesh between an mmo and a shooter with a bunch of other genres in between Dishonored is a stealth game with RPG-like mechanics and takes place in the first person Splatoon is just "different" from all other shooters Undertale brings back the glory days of earthbound Rocket League and Ori and the Blond Forest redefined the indie genre. Ori meshed the mechanics of a 2D Platformer with that of an RPG, and rocket league created a whole new way to play sports on a console Uka-Laylee (if it ever comes out) will bring back what has been gone for a long time, the 3D Platformer genre Broken Age, The Wolf Among Us, Tales from the Borderlands, Minecraft Story Mode, and the Walking Dead have all revived the point and click genre This is the next generation of video games. I am glad that Destiny is apart of it.

Edited by eyes like panda: 12/13/2015 8:54:41 AMI love destiny.. I look forward to an hour or 2 play at the end of a long day. I'm 34 and have been gaming for a long time now so I've some experience with these things. Firstly I have realistic views - no one is expecting you to play just one game for 10 years, I mean how thick do you have to be - these post saying '[b][i]enter game[b][i] killed destiny make no sense. I play lots of different games all the time. Yes some things annoy me but I choose not to focus on them (screw you weasel) and yes this version of destiny is coming to an end but the moaning on this forum is dreadful and killing the game. Ignore bold text. Did this on my phone haha. Old man and all that!

Good job, OP. You enjoy the game, you support the developers, and you're not afraid to speak your mind, while still being able to see some flaws and shortcomings in the game. Wish there were more people like you around here, cause that's what this game's community should look like.

Love Destiny, but the story still needs to be flushed out more. All missions are short and sweet. No epic scale combat that Halo had.
