The Kitsune, the fox humanoid, back handsprings kicking you in the groin. It then runs in the cloud of smoke, chuckling. Where the boy stood- where the children were laughing- it's quiet

I teleport before the hit takes its full effect. I run to where the children were. Worry in my voice, "hello?"
-
You hear nothing but silence- you see that where the boy stood, were his burnt clothes.
-
My fist tightens, and my jaw clenches. I stand for a few minutes before relaxing myself and opening my hand. The rage fades from my eyes and I turn back toward the house.
-
The trees ahead shift, with the path opening again. It leads upward.
-
I sigh and continue along the path. "Where am I?"
-
The wind blows against the trees, ahead are cherry blossoms, strange as it's not spring or summer.
-
My head turns to the side as I admire the cherry blossoms. "Odd."
-
Ahead is a bridge, over a giant ass waterfall and lake.
-
I walk along the path to the bridge and inspect it before crossing.
-
It's stable and sturdy, across is a Bamboo forest with a cave with an open entrance.
-
I walk toward the cave, candle in front of me.
-
Inside the cave you hear a water current. Suddenly the entrance behind is sealed shut.
-
"One way to go now." August continues walking toward the sound of water.
-
You near the edge and you see a long drop down. "What's your purpose August"? You hear a voice say.
-
"To fight. For justice." He looks into the darkness.
-
"But August...you left us" you hear your mother's voice say. "August...where were you 4 years ago", your father says.
-
"I... I tried I just wasn't.... Wasn't strong enough." Tears filled his eyes.
-
Suddenly the flame grows brighter, and you see a figure of Raze in front of you.
-
A rage boils through August's veins and his fist clenches. "You! You--" he catches himself in his anger and tries to slow his breathing and calm down.
-
It dissipates. And the voice of Eos can be heard. "August- you cannot save them...but you must save those who cannot fend for themselves".
-
He nods as he now breaths normally. "I should have saved the child." Feelings of guilt sweep over me, as if the very darkness around me is closing in to consume me as an embodiment of shame.
-
The candle's blue flame ignites brighter, the other side of the cave begins to shine light- the exit.
-
I trudge on. The darkness seems to weigh less at the sight of light. I exit the cave and look around.
-
You hear a yell directly ahead, trees and bushes appear to obstruct your vision however- but the voices seem similar.
-
I sprint toward the sound of the voices.
