Zara looked at the titan through narrowed eyes. Apparently, she wasn’t the only one who could handle the darkness.
She stared at her hands, made claws by the Sealed Ahamkara Grasps. She wore them to help explain why she could use two knives, even though that wasn’t their real purpose.
The titan, no, Sasha, was currently trying to figure out where her opponent had gone.
She sighed. What had happened to herself? She tried to recount what exactly happened. She DID know that Oryx had taken the shotgun blast for her on accident, the arrogant bastard.
How she had ended up on the moon? Well, now that it was clearly apparent that she still had her taken abilities, she concluded that it was, simply put, a very long blink.
She shook her head and removed her helmet; it was useless anyway. Zara stood up and started to walk toward the titan, who immediately took on an aggro stance. She put her hands up.
“Hey, chill. I just want to talk.” Zara said, taking paced steps toward Sasha. The titan reached for her… axes?
She sighed. “Look, I know we didn’t start off on the best terms, but I seriously just want to talk.”
======================
Sasha stood her ground. “Right, and I want you to destroy my food supply.” She remembered Danny. “Eh. Most of the good stuff is already gone.”
The hunter stopped and put her hand to her face; Sasha noticed her helmet was now completely off.
Still, stubborn as she always was, she stood still. “I don’t know what you’re doing back here; if you want to die, just go jump into the hellmouth.” Sasha’s head looked around, distractedly. As if embarrassed. “But… thanks for the axes.”
Zara gave a short laugh. “You’re welcome.” Her arms crossed, and she stood a little off center. “The thing is I think if I did, in fact, decide to go grab tea with Crota, I wouldn’t die.”
“Oh; you can’t break your legs?” Sasha took a step forward. “Should I test that?”
Zara raised an eyebrow. “If I don’t blink to Venus first.” she said haughtily.
Sasha lit ablaze. “Oh, really?” She teleported behind Zara, and grabbed her. “No, you won’t.”
Zara turned and grinned, then disappeared. She came back a few seconds later with a spirit bloom in hand.
“Well.” Sasha was amazed. “I guess… I’ll listen.”
Suddenly, a ship came in from orbit, and the guardian transmat in.
“Sorry I took so long.” The guardian aimed at Zara.
“It’s been 4 days, H-” Sasha was cut off by Zara.
“Nice way to interrupt a conversation!” Zara told the guardian, sarcastically.
“Yeah, well, taken interference had shut down comms-” He looked at Sasha. “And the sudden… arrival… of Danny had all flights out of the tower suspended. I was worried!” He said, lowering his guard, and shrugging at Sasha.
“Well, thanks, H-” Sasha was getting pissed that she kept on being interrupted.
“And where the HECK is her helmet?!”
“Guard-” He was obviously panicking. Sasha tried calming him down. “She’s…. you know. I have no idea.” Zara moved a bit, and Sasha teleported behind her.
“WHAAAAAAAAAAT?” Guardian’s jaw dropped.
Zara rolled her eyes and exhaled exasperatedly. “Look, I don’t know exactly what happened, but I’m Taken. And my helmet might as well be good as materials now, so please, excuse the glowy skin stuff. Capiche?”
A lone signal came across the comms.
“*Taikonaut-*”
“What?” The translator kicked in.
“Taikonaut-” Jaik had started. “-I have information….”
“*You do?*” Sasha placed her hand to the side of her helmet.
Zara and Guardian were shocked to hear Eliksni Language come out of Sasha’s helmet.
Zara piped up. “Well, that’s something I would never expect. Did you by any chance major in Fallen?”
“*Shut up.*” Sasha glared at her.
“What was that?” Zara snapped.
“*Rrr…. Ahem. Anyway, what have you found, Jaik?*” She questioned.
“I have found a great load of information…” He said with a deeper tone.
“*Can you send it?*”
“No. It is too much to send. Servitors will find out.”
“*Then come to me.*”
“I will be there soon enough.” The comms went silent.
Guardian was awestruck, and fell to his knees. “HOW MUCH HAVE I MISSED!?”
Sasha showed him the axes. “Well, there’s these.”
“AAAAAAGGHHHHHH!!!!!!” Guardian fell on his back.
Zara snorted. “Try finding out that you murdered over forty people 16 years ago.”
“THAT WAS YOU!?” Guardian wailed and waved his hands about.
======================
Inside Sasha’s pod, they all sat at her table. Well, Zara’s skin was burning a hole in her couch.
“Oh.” She looked disappointed. “I... needed a new one, anyway.” Sasha looked at her crappy couch.
Zara looked at the burn mark in surprise. “Huh. Never thought that would be a thing. Anyways, remind me to buy you a new one later.”
“No, no.” She shrugged. “I just make my own.”
“That explains why this thing sucks.” Zara remarked.
“Hey!”
A loud clanking was heard outside.
“Clickhissss….”
Sasha stood up. “That’s probably Jaik.” She walked over to the airlock, and opened the inside door first.
Outside, they could hear them talking.
“Holy crap, you got HUGE!”
Zara mumbled to herself. “And that’s the FIRST thing we hear from them….” She snickered, and guardian punched her in the shoulder. She turned and gave him a death glare, hands slowly reaching for her knives.
“Heh- heh. No murder in Sasha’s pod…. heh….” The guardian peeped.
“Gurrrclick-”
“Oh right. Sorry. Ghost?” Sasha summoned ghost.
“On it.” Ghost worked.
“*So, what did you find?*” Sasha invited him in, to find her pod a mess and Zara chasing Guardian with the scorch cannon. She turned the translator off. “Would you guys stop it?” She waited until Guardian passed, then held out her hand. Zara was clotheslined. “I said, stop.”
“Ah, -blam!- you.” She muttered, brushing herself off and standing up. “Can’t we have a little fun?”
Sasha looked at Guardian. He had a knife in his upper back. Nothing his ghost couldn’t fix. “Yeah-” She glared at Zara. “-fun.”
======================
A few hours later, Jaik had told them everything they needed to know.
“*So, the archon is a girl?*” Sasha was surprised at how many of her fights were with women.
“Yes. But Female and Male fallen are usually similar...” Jaik said with a huff.
Jaik was a full sized captain now; he had all four arms, a proud Scar banner on his back.
“Anyway, the layout of ground camp is this;”
*plannin’ and stuff happens*
“Hmm…” Sasha thought. So, we could go in here….”
And they planned.
