They didn't put the patch in simply "because they were losing money". There were people who had bought the book for $10, and other people who were getting the same rewards for free. I'd be pissed if I spent that money and saw someone riding around on the same sparrow as me when they didn't spend any money to get it.
Y'all are a bunch of whining children who need to get over yourselves. Bungie is a company. A company is out to make money. First and foremost. If I get a call from my boss saying there is a bug on our websites that is causing us to lose money and our customers to get stuff "for free", regardless of what time it is i have to fix it. Not because I don't care about the customer, but because it's money flying out the window. Does no one understand this about business? No?

That's not the point. Back in the good old days there was a gun. A gun with an amazing ability. The ability to kill you with just 3 hits. For like 8 months Thorn was a problem (yes I used thorn im a fgt what ever) and bungie didn't do a damn thing. I mean the over use of thorn was well known. Bungie sucks and if you exploited the game instead of buying that stupid card good for you.
-
The thorn was never an exploit or a bug. It performed exactly like they wanted it to. You know the saying if it ain't broke don't fix it, that applies here. Was the gun overpowered and overused? Sure, but it was far from broken (in a bug/glitch sense).

I have to agree with this. The sole purpose of any business, company, corporation, etc. is the business of making money. Money to operate, money to pay employees, offer medical, money to create additional content, and above all to make a profit. You support a game that you like, flaws and all, because you have fun playing it. Whether it's $20 for a 'once every 4 month dlc' or microtransactions that you are not being forced into buying, a player chooses to support whomever they please. It's OK that you don't agree with the system. I'm sure you aren't the only one OP. But, this seems to be a much more sustainable systems than the monolithic releases of last year, and everyone gets to enjoy the events now, not just those pay forward for extra content.
-
There's a difference between making a profit and swindling
-
I haven't seen any swindling here. They provide something in return for the silver you spend. Whether you think the value is equal to what they're charging is irrelevant.

Edited by Ne0nK0ala: 12/11/2015 1:03:30 AMThey were putting in that patch no matter what, I don't understand the ops argument, would you really rather them do it in the next month rather than now, like really? Cus no one who glitched that was ever gonna get away with it.
-
Agree 100%. Bungivision = Big Business. Video games = Big dollars. It's just not that hard to understand.
-
The thing is....people who bought a progress tracker that costs half as much as a regular dlc pack are.....well.......
morons
-
Edited by Quote: 12/10/2015 10:25:24 PMI'm pretty sure that DestinyTracker will have a page up for sparrow racing and a leaderboard for it, just as websites have made recruiting much more easier and transfering gear from your vault to your cahracter that much easier... Only an idiot would spend 10$ on a book that gives you the ugliest looking shader and sparrow
-
No, they patched it quite literally because they were losing money. Funny how fast changes get made when their wallet is at risk huh?
-
Weird. Last I checked the patched the boot engram issue in the same amount of time. Was their wallet at risk there? No? Hmmm...
-
Yet the broken boots were an issue before the broken book, why weren't the boots fixed in 24 hours? Oh, right, because it wasn't affecting their wallet.
-
Huh... I thought the issues were all there at the same time. Like when they released 2.1.0. And they were fixed in the same hotfix. Same timeline for both.
-
No this is the Second time the boot engram glitch has occur you tool
-
When did tool become an insult again? I haven't used that since high school.. Oh wait, all you kiddies are in high school. My bad. Who cares if it happened twice? You clearly don't understand coding in the least if you think that a similar bug is caused by the same problem in different patches.
-
Get out of your mom's basement kid. And the fact that lengendary engram and rare engrams suffered from the decoding glitch means they didn't think of Appling this recent changes to the coding for exotic engrams. How hard is it to think of that. Your still a tool, and you know nonthing. Your mother should of abandoned you as a child. No one agrees with you because you're dumb......... Tool
-
hahahaha It's funny because you keep resorting to "tool" as an insult because that's the only insult you know. High school was a good time for me too. Ignorance is bliss. Tell you what, come talk to me about coding and the intricacies of it again when you're don't sucking off your parents tits for everything. It's funny how big people act when they're safe behind the smart phone that mommy and daddy bought them . You wouldn't say half the shit you're saying to my face because you're too much of a pussy.
-
What ever you don't know anything about coding. Just a poser who can only bring up high school as an insult. Get over yourself tool!
-
That's where you're wrong, buddy boy. I also called you a pussy. PS. 95% of my job is programming. Not video games, but I understand coding way better than some burger flipper ever will.
-
Lol you expect the people here on the forums to understand business?
-
-
I'm a Tool... A MIDA-Multitool.... I suck at these bad puns
-
Explain what I said above that makes me a tool? Or is that too much for your simple mind to understand? I get it, anything above the simplest of arguments can be confusing. I've been there (we WERE all 2 at one point after all).
