Let me get this straight. 0.04%?

So high RoF autos get a [b]0.04% buff.[/b] And this is supposed to accomplish... what exactly? Let me round that out. It appears it's a 0% buff, funny enough. I don't see how you intended to do a FOUR HUNDREDTHS OF A PERCENT increase to damage. While I'm here, R.I.P. Lyudmila-D. Poor bastard got drop-kicked by a 19% nerf. I'd say I'm about 4% happy with the auto buff. [b]Edit- I'm actually 0.04% happy[/b]

    I love that they are not admitting that they -blam!-ed up the patch and claiming that it was all a typo. Buffing all auto rifles by less than 1% doesn't add to a single point of damage. A 0.04% buff to High ROF autos means I would need to shoot someone in the head 148 times with the nechrocasm before it added up to a single point of damage. Yet they nerfed High impact Pulse rifles by 19.4% (they origianlly stated 9%, then claimed it was 0.9% and are now claiming its 13%).

          The funny thing is that auto rifles are actually more viable now (by proxy) due to the significant pulse rifle nerf. Anyone who doesn't have Monte Carlo should be grabbing it from Xur this weekend because it is a monster. I averaged over a 3.0 KD yesterday playing striker, with Monte Carlo, shotty, and Peregrine greaves. I may be in the minority, but I'm actually loving where PVP is at now compared to previous metas.

            I miss my Lyudmila-D. It wasn't overpowered, since it had flaws, like the recoil pattern and 4-round burst. But now it just can't compete. Horrible.

              • It's because they Are a -blam!-ing joke. .7 percent buff OH BOY. They had no problem fixing the race book exploit quick fast and in a hurry. Let's not forget the 33% vex nerf they snuck in back in the day.

                • It seems insignificant but if you look at the numbers in the grand scheme of things it makes a little more sense. You've gotta keep in mind the pulse rifle nerf as well as the AR buff. Granted, a 0.04% increase is almost not worth doing, but when it's compared to a 14% nerf it's going to make that weapon considerable more viable in firefights. You can't JUST look at the numbers on auto rifles and complain about how low the damage buff is when this is a rework of the entire meta. The pulse rifle nerf makes the AR significantly more prominent in the current meta

                  • Honestly, there would not have been such a reaction if they just said- "there was an error with the patch, and we are working on it." We would have been pissed, but not nearly as bad as realizing that we were just straight up LIED to. TO OUR FACES. Not the first time either. Iron Banner after 2.0 anyone?

                    After 25 shots you will get 1 additional damage xD Edit: it's been pointed out that I was being nice and converted the numbers incorrectly. After 250 shots you will get 1 additional bullet worth of damage. Way worse xD

                    • My love was for high impact pulse rifles. Haven't played and won't come back. However, this forum discussion is hilarious. We can do math better than Bungie and I'm sure we can be better liars then then too.

                        • After the official Weisnewski apology they STILL haven't come clean about the pulse rifle numbers!!! I was reading and waiting and waiting and just.........what the fuk??? Man, so confusing. Why lie? lying is bad. Bad John, BAD. Go lay down lol. He's the bane of this games existence and his tenure at bungie is about to expire. I'm hoping. He's talented i'm sure and he'll find another job. Or just demote him. That would suffice. i don't want him to lose his income, man has a family i'm sure.

                            • They killed high impact pulse rifles and made the hawksaw and red death definitely the meta. Lelelel. I expected to have a faster achievable TTK in CQ but most Auto Rifles wont ever hit their optimal TTKs like Pulse Rifles can. Great job Sand Box team. I'll try to enjoy my Auto Rifles but you couldn't buff them by even a percentage point.
