The whole Thorn issue was based on opinions. It wasn't really broken, just OP. There was a lot of love for the gun, I for one enjoyed the Thorn era, and didn't really mind getting killed by one. Bungie cannot hot fix something that has so many mixed opinions. The book however is clearly broken and needs fixing, plus the fact that some folks have actually spent money on it, it needed to be done asap
