I get the whole testing to modify thorn to acceptable levels but like he said 8 months? Way too much. A patch at 10-11 pm? Come on

Yeah, but they were spending their time on developing TTK. Why would they have even cared about a gun that is being left behind? They only fixed it probably because they knew people would still use it in the Crucible. Bungie employees aren't just sitting around all day, they have other jobs to do too.
