I've been an avid destiny player since beta and was on board the hype train long before then. I had huge hopes and dreams for this game and stayed true until recently. The repeated content flop has finally driven me insane. From the small disappointments (iron banner ghost shells as an example, SO much potential) to the mid-way disappointment of hollow content drops of year one (Crota, prison of elders, both rather boring and non-sustainable ) to the huge disappointments of exclusive content, divided communities and disastrous pvp balancing. I thought the taken king would finally delivered on pre-release promises!
After hundreds of heroic strikes and crucible matches, dozens of nightfalls and raids, and finally this sparrow racing business, it sank in. Year two is almost just as hollow as year one. With the present boredom I'm suffering despite all of the "event" content we've been getting, and will continue to be getting for some time to come, I think it's time to sling my guns and vault my shiny Iron Banner gear. I enjoyed it while it lasted but my retirement is overdue, provided content picks up, I'll see you in year 3 guardians.

I still play pvp with my OP year 1 guns. I just wish they would have included ice breaker and other year 1 exotics for year 2. And I wish they would include all the old strikes in the heroic playlist instead of only having 5 total.
