A sentence I heard Tess Everess say when I walked besides her booth.
Very interesting, not creepy at all, and it absolutely doesn't imply that I should throw money at the screen...
Another sentence I heard (paraphrased):
"Amanda wishes she could make Sparrows like these."
Will these sparrows be faster, or have other gameplay altering perks a player cannot get on his sparrow without buying it?
This whole patch feels like Bungie will make this game P2W...
The economy changes are drastic, and certain things just don't feel right, like consumables, which have been found in databases, which would remedy basically all of the issues this patch introduced.
Bungie staying quiet and not answering the questions of the community, isn't exactly encouraging either.
So, maybe I lack a certain piece of the puzzle, or maybe I am overreacting, but I will say one thing:
I have put up with a lot of BS since Destiny released. From the "forever 29 economy", to leaving gear behind, over exotics being in need of releveling for the 10th time now, over a game with basically no story, to grossly overpriced and left behind DLCs (HoW anyone?).
What got me worrying in TTK especially, apart from the economy changes, is the time gating. Wait fir armsday here, wait another week there. This is typical for P2W games, to make the player spend money. Destiny just lacks the option to pay for not waiting on Arms Day currently.
Now, maybe I am an idiot, because I stayed for the core gameplay, the Raids and the PvP.
But let me say this loud and clearly:
If this game gets even remotely close to being P2W and you will sell boosters, Sparrows with unique and game altering perks, or whatever the like, then I am out.
I refuse to succumb to the greed of what a P2W game represents. This is the line I draw.
And transforming a tripple A title, into a P2W plague, would have been one of saddest things I have witnessed in the gaming industry over the years (affecting the players negatively. Endless sequels are another example. When will CoD 179 come out again? They make one every quarter if I am not mistaken)

I´ll necrobump this. The only reason is one key sentence from Tess Everiss. "Amanda wishes she could make Sparrows like these." This clearly shows that the Sparrow racing event and the Log Book Makrotransactions, have been planned to be in the game since before TTK launched. Which is pretty interesting to be honest.
