Shindig in the Crucible is one of the worst designed quests ever...?
So I maintain a K/D over 1, do better than almost anyone in the match and I lose progress?? and it takes like a billion kills to complete? can they not lock gear behind being a damn god in Crucible? some of us like to play PvE and are tired of really good loot being tied to being in the top 10% or higher of crucible players. (which is even harder as a Titan cause the Titan has a massive disadvantage in the Crucible.)
Suggestion - fix the quest so it doesn't tank all the progress you made in the last ten matches cause you had one bad match, it's frustrating and just feels punishing and unfun, or better yet don't make deaths reset make you lose progress.

My problem is that you have to either game to system by swapping equipped weapons, or just "get good" and neither are very good design choices for something that isn't PvP exclusive. Gear shouldn't be tied to doing amazing in the crucible (at least over a long period of time, having specific challenges that aren't cruelly punishing are fine), and every player should be able to get an exotic if they put in the time and commit, but having progress drop so fast for a mistake is just terrible design. tldr; the "answers" of either do better, or to manipulate when it tracks stats by dequipping/equipping the weapon, are at best work arounds for a broken quest idea or at worst blatantly ignoring my actual complaints with the whole thing.

I have less than a 1.0 overall K/D (granted, I was garbage when I first started and I've fed kills to friends before) and I finished it in 3 games. Guide inbound: So you know how TLW is designed for hip-fire, rapid-fire? Ignore that. Single-fire that bad boy and ADS to land assists for days, for points. Stand in bottlenecks like hallways, so enemies are easy to kill. And, most importantly, STAY ALIVE. Killstreaks land you absurd amounts of points. You want to face one enemy at a time, on your terms. You getting flanked? Don't try and clutch it, run the f@$# away. I'm not joking, running is your best friend. And, I can't stress this enough, get assists. They count for you, and build up to your killstreak bonus as long as you don't die. Or just equip TLW as you win a a game for 3 guaranteed points.

You can use other weapons. I stayed by my team and picked people off. I did this quest 4 times, one for each character. The 4th time was my friends account. By that time I resorted to just camping and sniping. Sure it pissed people off but that was the fastest I got that quest done. Usually it took several matches but on my friends account I had it to 60% in the first match.

First off all sunbreakers are the best class for the average guardian in crucible. If you are not using a sunbreaker start that is step one. Step 2 is only equip last word when you are a map where it is beneficial to use the low range weapon. If step one and two do not work then take it to the next level. Only equip last word if you have your super up, about to pick up heavy, or about to win a match. If you keep this up you will see your gains slowly increase and your setbacks minimized.
