So as most of us know, the VGAS were held in America last night.
22 awards were handed out to a multitude of games, including Splatoon, Super Mario Maker, No Mans Sky & Rocket League.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt took home the ultimate prize with the "Game Of The Year" award. To be honest they deserved it.
Destiny: The Taken King was only nominated for two categories;
Best Multiplayer
Best Shooter
Destiny: The Taken King lost both these categories to Splatoon (a game in which I have never even heard off, but I'm going to look into it later)
Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts? Would you have chosen any other games to take these awards?
Do you think The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt deserved the best award of the night?

edit: as someone mentioned below. Splatoon also topped Halo 5, COD: BOPS 3, Rocket League and Battlefront.
Edit 2: Great comments guy, keep them coming. I'm trying to reply to you all but I'm in work! I will get round to replying to you all. Great to see a thread with a good discussion for once.
MGSV should of taken GOTY. It's the only game in that category that did something different, story was shit sure but it stands out next to fallout and the witcher.
