This is actually really fascinating. When Bungie started selling emotes you had basically three groups of people:
- Those that would never pay for an emote so didn't care
- Those that jumped at the chance to throw money at their screen
- Those that complained about having to pay for more content that should be included
Now Bungie added a new wrinkle to the system that created a subset of group 2:
- Those that would pay for emotes but think that RNG is BS
I suppose there could be a fifth group of those that think RNG when using real money is good but let's be honest, human evolution got rid of those people long ago.
I kind of have a feeling that this is more about Bungie not wanting Tess's catalogue to be too big on screen so they just take out all the old stuff and replace it with a single mystery bag.
