Bump. Bring back etheric light. That's the ONE thing they got right in house of wolves. This new "double RNG" thing makes it that much worse as well. Scrap it, bring back a way to ascend old guns or at least let us RE grind for those guns at endgame light levels.(level 40 VoG/CE etc)
Even desticles would love this! Who wants LESS choice? Is there a cap on how many guns can be in the game? No, cause most of us probably still have all our old raid guns sitting in the vault. They didn't vanish overnight to "make more room".
Now with the upcoming mega nerf? This is, to me, an addiction at this point. It's something that brings less joy. This is a game with potential unlike any game ever made. If Bungie could just clean house or bring in an entire new development team then i think we would see arguably the best game ever. That's subjective but any game a casual like me can put over 700 hours in to? Man, they got a formula that works but they can't help but be their own worst enemy. Why is this so frustrating to me? It's like seeing someone with an IQ of 165 sweeping floors at walmart. Wake up Bungie!
In the end, it's just a game so it's not THAT big a deal. But a lot of people are passionate about this game in particular. That's why we criticize the bad decisions and praise the good ones.

Etheric light was a terrible addition in house of wolves. It was way too easy to max everything out.

Yea, top players had no problem getting 6 a week. I beat skolas once, never again. Most weeks I'd get 1 or 2 etheric light. I think the lack of content was the biggest problem so anything affiliated w HoW was never popular. Hard to separate the two and also remember the "average" player wasn't swimming in etheric light.

Dude, it took me forever to beat skolas but I still had no issues with getting etheric light since the level 34 dropped one and I was guaranteed a few so many wins into trials. I think etheric light should serve some kind of purpose but maxing things out instantly shouldn't be it. Maybe have etheric light raise the light level of an item by 1-5? Randomly with low chances for higher? That'd be great.

Yea.....I could see that. Also, I forgot about trials. That was THE place to get the best of everything in HoW. Again though, not for the average joe unless he was getting a ton of help or carried. Have a good weekend bud!

Bro, I was simply making a point. Hell yea! I still have my shadow price and tons of old guns in the vault. Point being, nothing should be rendered (essentially) worthless. Now, when the actual sequel comes out? Well of course I don't expect to bring destiny 1 guns along. It's a new game. Dlc and expansions shouldn't be treating old gear like this tho. That is my opinion
