[quote]Bungie Weekly Update 12/04/2014:
"In the months to come, your quest to become more powerful will have more avenues that lead to satisfaction. The last thing we wanted was for you to look at your favorite gun or helmet and decide that it had become obsolete. Since the reveal, we’ve read a lot of ideas for how this could have been done better. Your feedback is clear: The time you have invested in your stuff should be respected."

Bump.

-
That was for year 1. It's year 2 now. Stop living in the past.
-
then bungie changed their minds... and then changed their mind again, and made it so old gear isn't obsolete... then they changed their minds AGAIN but this time they said "your new gear won't be obsolete throughout the whole year!, but that old stuff? thats junk now!" really wish they would have some design consistency, or at least gives everyone a reason as to why they keep changing their minds every other DLC pack... wait... *reads tags* ... ah crap... this is just another group of people over reacting in a giant "we hate bungie, no one else can have fun because we didn't" circle jerk... never mind, i'll just go back over here and have fun without aggressively seeking other people's approval.

Someone's late to the party. Or you can't find anything else to complain about.
-
Oh damn this is like when you go back through your texts and read how your ex loved you and you thought she was the one.
-
Oo this is attracting all the salty wannabe Angry Joes, revolutionaries, and uneducated people of this forum. *Clap* well have fun playing video games like if its a religion. You'll never be satisfied.

IN -blam!-ING YEAR 1. Not once they say anything about using the same shit for the next 10 years; though that's partially Bungie's fault for creating such powerful weapons in Year 1, instead of, say, slowly increasing stats and such as time went on. TDB still had the best Exotic Upgrade system, IMO. Sure, I'm probably the only one who thinks that, but it made you decide whether or not you really wanted to spend the resources and time it took to evolve your gear along with the game. Now, it's exactly the way it was back then: Only Exotics are continuing into Year 2, and in steady increments.
-
In the months to come. It's been a year. Get over it.
-
You know it is about the announced exotics that are returning right? Don't be tok happy because it is not about your final round E-spear or your fatebringer

Edited by LatchedRacer90: 12/3/2015 10:55:55 PMhonestly been under a rock the past month with halo 5 still come back here to read the updates i loved destiny and still believe it has potential however the 60fps in other games makes destiny feel sluggish and cheap now not bashing the game overall its just hard to go back to the graphics and flow looking forward to the next installment that being said it is very sad how Bungie can claim something like that in previous updates and patches but then completely screw over the entire community now that they are bringing year one exotics back up its a step in the right direction...but im over here looking at my timepiece and corrective measure like >.>

I feel like it's pretty obvious why and what they are going to do with this to make this complaint go away: 1. As some sort of update/expansion/patch (or whatever) they'll open up an auction house. 2. They'll make the glimmer cap much higher. 3. Those who kept older/rarer items, e.g., guardians selling/buying Fatebringers, etc. for -blam!-. 4. Make/recycle a material that will upgrade said weapon/armor to the relevant LL. 5. Release new items that will be harder to attain, but will be easier for vets due to making said economy. Easy way to pump out new Destiny material and the only way this could be done is allowing time to elapse. That way you have more kinderguardians coming in making this all flow and it'll build [to the] hype.

They had to trash our year one weapons and armor because ttk didn't have enough actual content to justify it's price tag. Having to obtain new weapons and exotics led to longer play times which in turn, makes ttk appear to have more content.
